Product Usage Instructions

Transport

Do not tilt, lay on its side, transport, or store the desk on end. Carry or lift the desk by the frame, not the desk top. Avoid dragging the desk top along the floor to prevent damage.

Safety Instructions

Never leave children unattended around the desk as they may not understand the dangers associated with desk movement. Maintain a minimum distance of 25 mm between the desk and any other object to prevent crushing or shearing hazards.

Positioning the Desk

Ensure that the A-leg is positioned with a maximum of 10 mm gap. The adjustable glides help in leveling the desk on uneven floors.

You have chosen a quality product from König + Neurath. To ensure that this item of furniture performs to your satisfaction, please read these notes before using it and please follow the safety instructions.

AREA OF APPLICATION

TALO.YOU lift desks are designed for use in commercial offices. The desks are not suitable for use in the workshop or warehouse nor in wet areas/damp conditions.

TRANSPORT

DO NOT TILT THE DESK OR LAY IT ON ITS SIDE. DO NOT TRANSPORT OR STORE THE DESK ON END! Please do not carry or lift the desk by the desktop but by the frame. Do not drag the desk top along the floor, even on the carpet as it could be damaged.

USEFUL LOAD

The desk is supplied for use with a useful load of 10 kg, 20 kg or 30 kg ± 10 kg. The useful load is stated on the information label underneath the desktop on the main beam.

The useful load can be changed at any time. Please contact the K+N service department.

The TALO.YOU lift desk must be assembled and used according to these operating instructions, otherwise there is a risk of serious injury. The lift frame is exclusively designed for use as an ergonomic adjustment option for desks, complying with the useful loads as stated in these instructions. Any use that exceeds these is considered to be not in accordance with specifications, and the manufacturer is not liable for any resulting damage. The user alone is responsible for this risk. Please also observe the general, legal and other regulations and legal provisions including those applying to the country of operation as well as the applicable environmental regulations! Local regulations imposed by mutual indemnity associations or other supervisory authorities must always be observed! Any unauthorized changes on the lift column render the manufacturer exempt from liability for resulting damages. Keep the instructions near to the desk.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Depending on whether the useful load is too high or low, the desk can rise up or drop down of its own accord.
People must not sit on the desk: there is a risk of deflection, especially at the corners. Ensure that any cables cannot be snagged or crushed. Damaged cables can create significant risks for the user, including serious injury or even death from electrical shock.
No liquids must be allowed to spill into the cable management.

Desk on castors:
When in use, apply the castor brakes.

To move the desk:

Move the desktop to the lowest position. Where applicable, unplug cables from the mains and store the cable in such a way that it cannot be damaged as the desk is moved. Release the castor brakes and move the desk.
Please ensure that any part of the desk is a minimum of 25 mm from any other object, to avoid potential areas for crushing or shearing.

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Place the intended equipment on the desk. The equipment weight must be in accordance with the maximum permitted load shown on the data plate on the frame (10/20/30kg).

Activate the release and move the desktop to the required height.

Warning

Always use both hands to adjust the desk.

CARE AND CLEANING INFORMATION

Melamine-coated and metal surfaces:

Clean the surface with a duster. Use warm water and/or a mild cleaner to remove marks, then wipe dry. Please note: Do not use any abrasive cleaning materials! These can lead to permanent, visible damage. Real wood surfaces:
Wipe the surface with a duster. Use a damp cloth and a neutral cleaning agent to remove dirt from the surface, then wipe dry.

APPENDIX

Repairs

To prevent malfunctions, any repairs to the desk may only be made by specialists. Please get in touch with the K+N customer service!

Maintenance
At regular intervals, check all connections are still a tight fit and that the desk frame is working correctly. Check that all screws are fastened tight, and that the operation is correct.

Disposal
The height-adjustable lift desk from the TALO.YOU range is to be disposed of according to the applicable guidelines and regulations.
