How to choose size?
NOTE
If you have any doubts about the size information, please contact us to
confirm.
Please check whether the size of the shoes is suitable before taking the dog
out with shoes on. To facilitate returns, it is recommended to put a pair of
thin socks on the dog before trying on the shoes. There’s no left-right
distinction between these shoes.
How to clean Jzxoiva dog shoes?
- Normal hand wash. It is best to use an old toothbrush to clean the wrinkles and seams, gently brush the shoes to avoid damaging the seams, and then dry them naturally.
- Separate the shoes from clothing, and do not soak them in water for too long.
How to teach a dog to wear shoes?
It is highly recommended to cut your pet’s nails short before putting dog shoes on your dog, otherwise, the nails may rub wrong inside the shoe.
Gently slip the shoes over your dog’s feet. Laughing at their panics is not correct to let your dog accept them, as they can be impressed by the first experience with shoes. Please try to refrain from your laughter though it may be difficult to do so. While training, it is advised to use a highly attractive item that can be a piece of chicken, a special toy, or something else. You are supposed to be consistent, which means that you conduct the dog training in the same way and sequence every time.
Day 1
Put the shoes on the floor and let him/her observe them. When he/she shows
interest and starts to sniff, reward him/her, and then take the shoes to let
him/her do it again, and give the dog some treats that should be his/her
favorite ones and only be used for this training. Please gently put the shoes
on and give more rewards if the dog cooperates with you. Moreover, you should
switch gears on him/her so he/she would not get fixated on what is happening.
After that, it is important to put the shoes on one foot of the dog, and then
treat him/her. If he/she takes it off immediately, you’d better treat him/her
again. Your dog should be pleasantly perplexed. Praise him/her and make them
believe that the shoes are the greatest thing in the world so that he/she will
allow you to put them on his/her feet!
Try the same sequence again. When he/she sniffs the shoe as you hold them up
to him/her, you are suggested to give a reward, put one of the shoes on
his/her foot and take it immediately off. Therefore, you are able to make
he/she know that putting the shoes on is as good as taking them off. This is
what you need to do for the first day.
Day 2
Take him/her to a special place where he/she puts the shoes on. Besides,
this should be a separate place that he/she can count on as the business spot
where he/she gets groomed and learns things. Have you noticed that it is of no
use to hide the comb by your recliner after he/she hops in your lap for
relaxation? Dogs are quite smart rather than silly, thus it might work once,
but, after that, it will cause such a situation that “Fool me once, shame on
you, fool me twice, shame on me” You are supposed to make your dog understand
that whenever shoes appear and touch his/her body, something good is going to
happen. Put one of the shoes on the reward, praise and make them like the
biggest party in town! Then you can put another shoe on your dog if he/she is
getting the idea by using the approach above mentioned. After that, please
take off both shoes and give a “jackpot treat”, such as a bigger amount of
his/her treat. That is what you need to do for day two.
Day 3
You are supposed to repeat the same sequence and help the dog wear the
shoes (just those first two) and place him/her on the floor. As soon as he/she
is on the floor, you can praise and give him/her a treat, observing the
reaction of them. If he/she is curious and does it well, leave them on for
about 30 seconds then reward again! Praise your dog and take the shoes off
with patience.
Day 4
You are suggested to let him/her sniff the shoe-treat, put the shoe-treat
on the shoes, and then take it off. Meanwhile, you have to switch gears groom,
and make them go back to shoes. Do the same with the back feet. HANDSOME TREAT
TIME! He/She allows you to put all four shoes on! Now if he/she is as happy
about the shoes as you are, you can go ahead and put him/her on the
ground.TREAT as soon as he/she hits the ground. Don’t give him/her time to
think that there is something on his/her feet.
The key training tip: “Please do not ignore to reward your dog when he/she cooperates with you perfectly.”
If your dog is panicking and tries to lear the shoes off, you should not scold them but just remove the shoes and give no treats. This is a new sensation for him/her, as he/she will learn that shoes are ON-GOOD! If the dog lets shoes off, you just stop this training and try it tomorrow. As long as he/she feels comfortable walking around with the shoes, he/she will get accustomed to them. If your dog expresses panic, you will know that. However, with patience and following these instructions, he/she should be used to wearing shoes and walking with them in a week. You can do this when you have spare time. As animals think in the mode of pictures and emotions, it is conducive to making them visualize a happy dog getting his/her favorite treat with the shoes on.
