Contraindications
DO NOT use this device to treat any other conditions apart from those
listed in Section 1.0 of User Manual.
DO NOT use this device if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant
or breastfeeding.
DO NOT use the Maysama PRANA LED Light Therapy Mask if you suffer from
light induced headaches.
DO NOT use this device if you suffer from any genetic conditions of the
eyes. This device has not been tested under/for these conditions and therefore
the risk is unknown.
DO NOT use this device if you suffer from lupus erythematosus,
photosensitive eczema, or albinism – severe skin reaction can occur.
DO NOT use this device if you suffer from any photosensitive disorder
(sensitization to light) – severe skin reaction may occur.
DO NOT use this device if you are taking any mediation that can cause
photosensitivity – can cause severe skin reaction.
DO NOT use this device, without consulting your healthcare provider, if
you suffer from physical, sensory or mental illness or are undergoing
treatment for a dermatology condition.
DO NOT use Maysama PRANA LED Light Therapy Mask on the same day as
skincare product containing photosensitive ingredients such as Alpha Hydroxy
Acids.
DO NOT use Maysama PRANA LED Light Therapy Mask without first cleaning
your face and removing any emollients, face oil or SPF.
DO NOT use Maysama PRANA LED Light Therapy Mask with skincare products
other than those recommended by Maysama for use with Maysama PRANA LED Light
Therapy Mask. Other products may reduce the efficacy of your mask or cause
reaction.
Photosensitivity is a common side effect of various medications. These can
include certain antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs and diuretics. If you are
unsure about any medication you may be taking, consult your healthcare
provider.
Other substances not listed above can also cause photosensitivity. Common
examples of these substances are: St John’s Wort, coal tar, deodorant,
antibacterial soaps, artificial sweeteners, naphthalene (mothballs), petroleum
products, brightening agents found in laundry detergent and cadmium sulphide
(a chemical injected into the skin during tattooing)
