It is strong, thin, and durable,” Palmer remarked. “It is my go-to for most recare patients, as it accesses all areas very well. If patients have moderate to heavier calculus, I use the 30K Universal Slim tip.”

While DuraTips maintain consistent peak efficiency up to 3 mm of wear, each insert comes with a color-coded performance guide that hygienists can use to regularly check tip wear. “The color-coded performance guide is very easy to use. There’s no guesswork as to whether you have the tip in the right spot,” Palmer explained.

For maximum ergonomic support, DuraTip features an anti-slip soft grip with an optimized 12-mm outer diameter texturing to help clinicians securely grasp the insert without the need for excessive pressure.
