Framing Units

  1. Follow the cutting instructions provided using a Folded Corner Clipper, Tucker Trimmer & Wing Clipper Rulers.

Block Center Units

  1. Cut each of the 3 squares once on the diagonal to make (4) quarter square triangles.
  2. Cut each of the 3 squares once on the diagonal to make (4) half-square triangles.

General Notes

  • The 2½” squares are used for corners and portions of the framing units.
  • The 2½” x 4½” rectangles (background) are used in portions of the framing units.
  • The 4½” red and navy check squares are for the block centers.

From Background Fabric

  • Cut (4) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut, (12) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles, (24) 2¾” squares, and (8) 2½” squares
  • Cut (1) 2½” x WOF strip; Subcut (8) 2½” x 4½” rectangles.

From Small Gray Dot Fabric

  • Cut (2) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (24) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 4¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (12) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.

From Large Red Check Fabric

  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (12) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 4¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (12) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.

From Large Navy Check Fabric

  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (12) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 4¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (6) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.

From Background Fabric

  • Cut (1) 3½” x WOF strip; Subcut (2) 3½” squares and (8) 2½” squares. Cut each 3½” square twice on a diagonal to make (8) quarter square triangles.
  • Cut (1) 2¾ x WOF strip; Subcut (8) 2¾ x 4¾” rectangles.

From Small Navy Dot Fabric

  • Cut (1) 3½” x WOF strip; Subcut (1) 3½” square and (2) 3” squares. Cut the 3½” square twice on the diagonal to make (4) quarter square triangles. Cut each of the 3” squares once on the diagonal to make (4) half-square triangles.

From Small Red Dot Fabric

  • Cut (1) 3½” x WOF strip; Subcut (1) 3½” square and (2) 3” squares. Cut the 3½” square twice on the diagonal to make (4) quarter square triangles. Cut each of the 3” squares once on the diagonal to make (4) half-square triangles.

From Red/White Stripe Fabric

  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (8) 2¾” squares.

From Navy/white Stripe Fabric
