EOD 2017+ Can Am X3 Volt Baja Box P/N- CBB210001
Remove the 6 torx bolts from the top of the rear fenders as shown then remove the 4 torx bolts shown in the base of the cargo area, the rear bolts will be used later on. The rear bolts can be tricky to get to and a long box wrench makes this task much easier.- Install the Baja box tipping the front down and under the shock reservoirs then lowering the rear portion down onto the cargo base. The rear shock reservoirs are mounted in slightly different spots from one vehicle to another, before setting the Baja box into rear of the vehicle make sure they are going to be clear before installing.
- Shift the box slightly if needed to get the outer bolt holes lined up with the fender holes and loosely install the supplied hardware then the inside hardware. The rear holes will use the factory hardware removed earlier and the holes closest to the front of the vehicle with use the supplied hardware. Once all the hardware is started, tighten down the inside hardware first and then tighten down the outer fender hardware second.
- Next bolt the ball studs for the lift struts to the interior of the box as shown with the upper ones facing to the outside and the lower ball ends facing to the center of the vehicle.
- Once the ball ends are tightened down the lift struts will be installed with the body of the struts up and the rods coming out of the bottom, see attached picture if needed. Perform a final check over of all the work completed and enjoy another great product from Elektric Offroad Designs!
