Product Usage Instructions

Creating an Instrument:

  1. Select Tuner and Add Instrument
  2. Choose your instrument type and the number of strings
  3. Name your instrument

Tuning with Roadie 3:

  1. Select Tuner and choose your instrument
  2. Place Roadie on the peg and pluck the string
  3. Roadie will tune sequentially, beeping and vibrating when the string is in tune

Alternate Tunings:

  1. Select your instrument and desired tuning
  2. Enter Instrument Settings and Tuning Settings to change tuning
  3. Adjust tuning using up or down buttons

Changing Capo:

  1. Select your instrument and Capo value
  2. Navigate to Capo settings and select Capo value
  3. Capo transposes tuning; +/- values adjust pitch accordingly

Reference Pitch:

  1. Select your instrument and desired reference pitch
  2. Navigate to A4 settings and select the desired pitch
  3. Your chosen pitch will be displayed during the tuning

Tune-Up and Accuracy:

  1. Access Settings and select Tune-Up to enable or disable
  2. Access Settings and select Accuracy for Fast or High Accuracy mode

Metronome and String Winding:

  1. Access Metronome settings to adjust the tempo
  2. Use the String Winder feature to wind or unwind strings manually or automatically

  • Q: Can I use Roadie 3 for both acoustic and electric guitars?
    A: Yes, Roadie 3 is compatible with both acoustic and electric guitars. Simply select your instrument type before tuning.

    A: Roadie 3 will beep and vibrate when the string is tuned correctly. You can also see the frequency displayed on the screen.

MEET YOUR TUNER

CREATE AN INSTRUMENT

  1. Select “Tuner”
  2. Select “Add Instrument”
  3. Choose your instrument type
  4. Select the number of strings
  5. Name your instrument

TUNE WITH ROADIE 3

  1. Select “Tuner” and choose your instrument
  2. Place Roadie on the peg and pluck the string
    • Roadie will tune sequentially in ascending order.
    • It will beep and vibrate when the string is in tune.
  3. Move on to the next string or select the string you want to tune by pressing up or down

ALTERNATE TUNINGS

  1. Select your instrument
  2. Click the right button to enter the Instrument Settings screen
  3. Click the right button again to enter the Tuning Settings screen
  4. Press up or down to change the current tuning to the tuning of your choice
  5. Press the left button twice to go back to the tuning screen and tune your instrument

CHANGE CAPO

  1. Select your instrument
  2. Click right to enter the Instrument Settings screen
  3. Navigate to “Capo” and press the right button to enter
  4. Navigate up or down to select your capo value
  5. Capo transposes the tuning. Ex: +1 will tune half-step up, -1 will tune half-step down

REFERENCE PITCH

  1. Select your instrument
  2. Click the right button to enter the Instrument Settings screen
  3. Navigate to “A4” and press the right button to enter
  4. Navigate up or down to select the desired A4 reference pitch
  5. Your pitch of choice will now be displayed during tuning

TUNE-UP AND ACCURACY

TUNE-UP

  1. Navigate down to Settings and click the right button to enter the Settings screen
  2. Click the right button to select “Tune-Up”, and choose your mode (enabled or disabled)

ACCURACY

  1. Navigate down to Settings and click the right button to enter the Settings screen
  2. Click the right button to select “Accuracy”, and choose your mode (Fast or High Accuracy)

METRONOME AND STRING WINDING

METRONOME

  1. Navigate down to Metronome and click the right button to enter
  2. Press up or down to change the tempo. Click right to access the Metronome settings

STRING WINDER

  1. Access “Winder” from the main menu to remove your old string
  2. Navigate up or down to wind or unwind

Alternatively, you can also hold the left or right button on the Tuning screen to automatically wind or unwind your string. This is useful for winding and tuning in one step.

PAIR TO THE APP

Launch the app and press on “Connect Your Roadie”, then follow the on-screen instructions.

MANAGE TUNINGS

  1. Make sure your Roadie 3 is connected to the app and select your instrument, or add one. You can now change the tuning, capo setting, A4 reference pitch or create your own custom tuning
  2. With Roadie 3 connected to the app, press Sync to transfer the changes

TROUBLESHOOT

HARD RESET
If your Roadie 3 has become unresponsive or frozen, a hard reset may be required.

Insert a pin into the reset pinhole located between the power button and the tuning peg connector. You’ll hear a click and the screen will turn off.

FACTORY RESET
Before performing a Factory reset, contact our support team to get assistance. Factory reset erases all your instruments and tunings. Make sure you have synced with the app if you’d like to keep them.

  1. Navigate down to Settings and click the right button to select it
  2. Select “Factory reset”, and hold the right button to reset your Roadie 3

Do not dispose of your device in a fire. The battery could explode. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your device. Do not place your device in a dishwasher, washing machine or dryer. Regardless of what reasons cause unit damage, please ask for the maintenance personnel to repair it.

This automatic tuner is designed for tuning stringed instruments with geared pegs only. Any other use, as well as use under different operating conditions, is considered improper and may result in damage to the tuner or the instrument being tuned. Please adhere strictly to the intended purpose outlined in this manual.

Fire Hazard
Replacing the internal battery is not recommended. If replacement is necessary, ensure correct polarity to avoid fire risk.

Correct disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.
