Product Usage Instructions

Operation:

  1. To install batteries into the detector, open the battery compartment and insert two AAA alkaline batteries according to the polarity illustrated inside.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button. It will beep once and the display will turn on to indicate the detector is ON. Press and hold the button for 2-3 seconds to turn the detector off.
  3. A second short press of the ON/OFF button will toggle the display’s backlighting ON or OFF, respectively.
  4. Keep the detecting window facing the rotating laser.
  5. Keep the detector still while detecting the laser beam.
  6. When the laser beam is centered, mark at the side reference marker.
  7. If no laser signal is received for ten minutes and no buttons are pushed during this time, the detector will power off automatically.

Detecting Methods:

  1. Slide the clamp bracket into the support bracket on the back side of the unit.
  2. There are three volume levels on the detector: Off – Medium – High. Press the Volume button to cycle through the volume levels.

DISPLAY

  1. LOW BATTERY INDICATOR – Indicates when batteries need to be replaced.
  2. ACCURACY – Indicates coarse or fine accuracy. Coarse accuracy is ±1/4″, and fine accuracy is ±1/16″.
  3. AUDIO – Indicates sound is enabled and indicates volume.
  4. BEAM LOCATION INDICATOR – Indicates the direction to move the detector to find the laser beam. If no laser beam is detected in the detection window, this display will be blank.

OPERATION

To install batteries into the detector, open the battery compartment and insert two “AAA” alkaline batteries according to the polarity illustrated inside. NOTE: Take the batteries out when the unit is not in use for a long time. (Figure 1)

DETECTING METHODS

  1. Press the button. It will beep once and the display will turn on to indicate the detector is ON. Press and hold the button for 2-3 seconds to turn the detector off.
  2. A second short press of the button will toggle the display’s backlighting ON or OFF, respectively.
  3. While detecting, the signal indicators show as follows:
    • If the laser beam is below center, the display shows a downward arrow and beeps rapidly.
    • If the laser beam is at center, the display shows a horizontal line and emits a solid sound.
    • If the laser beam is above center, the display shows an upward arrow and beeps slowly.
    • If no laser beam is detected, the detector will remain silent.
  4. Keep the detecting window facing the rotating laser.
  5. Keep the detector still while detecting the laser beam.
  6. When the laser beam is centered, mark at the side reference marker. (Figure 2)
  7. When the detector does not receive a laser signal for ten minutes, and there are no buttons pushed during these ten minutes, the detector powers off automatically

CONNECTING TO THE CLAMP

Slide the clamp bracket into the support bracket on the back side of the unit. (Figure 3)

VOLUME CONTROL
