SAFETY

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

  • Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
  • Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
  • Put the power cable into the socket. {Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V- 50/60Hz).
  • When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odour will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This smell is only temporary and will soon fade.
  • Place the device in a well-ventilated space.

USE

  • Slightly grease the non-stick coating of the baking plates with oil or butter.
  • Set the temperature control to your desired setting: “Low” for light-colored food and “High” for darker food.
  • Close the device and plug it into the wall outlet. The indication light will illuminate, indicating that the device is now preheating.
  • Allow your appliance lo pre-heat until the ready indicator goes off. This indicates that the cooking plates have reached the correct temperature.
  • Fill each mold with batter. Make sure the batter is spread evenly in the molds.
  • Suitable for homemade waffle batter as well as complete waffle batter.
  • Gently close the lid. Do not slam the lid down, as it may cause the mixture to run off the molds.
  • To remove the waffles, always use a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a sharp or metal object, as this will damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Remove the plug from the wall outlet and allow the device to cool both halves open.
  • Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or soft brush.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
  • Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not dishwasher-proof.

This appliance should not be put into the domestic garbage at the end of its durability but must be offered at a central point for the recycling of electric and electronic domestic appliances.
