Parts list

Installation

1. According to the template, hole in the door and door frame.
2. According to the demand, adjust the size of the deadbolt.
3. Put the deadbolt into the hole digged on the door. Fix it on the door with two self-tapping screws.
4. Turn the follower and keep the latch bolt out.
5. Turn and keep the spindle in a vertical. Please make sure the latch bolt is out before installation.
6. Insert the Exterior Assembly into the door hole. Route the cable below the latch.
7. Wear the cable into the square hole of the mounting plate.
8. Fix the mounting plate on the door with two pan head screws.
9. Turn the knob ② left or right base on the position of the latch bolt ①.
10. If the latch bolt is on the left, rotating knob to the left as shown. Otherwise, turn right
11. Connect the cable and ensure connection is tight.
12. Fix the Interior Assembly on the mounting plate with three screws.
13. Install 4 pcs AA alkaline battery.
14. Install the battery box.
15. Turn the knob to test lock and unlock.Check the completion.
16. Twist the back knob manually to extend the lock bolt and keep it extended. Refer to the following settings to set the locking direction.

Setup

1. After installation is complete, please use the key and back knob to test the lock and unlock separately.
   After the test is completed, be sure to perform A-Self check adjustment locking direction function.

2. Factory default password: 123456. When the device does not enter user information, the administrator password is “123456” in the factory default state.

3. The lock off button“ * ”has both locking and return functions, while the unlock button“ # ”has both unlocking and confirmation functions.

4. The lock can be closed using the lock button or with any fingerprint or press and hold the “ * ” key for 1 second.

5. After 10 incorrect inputs, the system locks for three minutes. The door lock cannot be operated within three minutes.
   When the system is locked: pressing the password keyboard and pressing the fingerprint head will flash a red light and emit three beep sound. You can unlock the system in advance by unplugging the battery.

6. The password length is 6-8 digits and has a virtual password function. You can enter any number before or after the correct password to unlock it. The total length of the virtual password is 40 digits.

7. It is recommended that users input the same finger multiple times to improve their fingerprint recognition rate.

A-Self check adjustment locking direction function

1. Keep the door open, use the back knob to push out the lock bolt to keep the lock in locking state.
   Note : Executing in the unlocked state will cause the door lock to not work properly.

2. Make sure the door lock is locked, press + the device will automatically d “ # ”+“ # ”+“ 9 ” “ # ”, etect and adjust the unlocking direction. If the device has already entered user information, the administrator needs to be verified to perform the operation.

3. When executed successfully, the door lock will automatically unlock, and then long press “*” to automatically lock, otherwise please re-execute the first and second steps.

4. When the door lock cannot be used normally, through the self check function can be adjusted to the normal state.

B-Add users

1. In the initialization state, press the“ # ”+“ # ”+“ 1 ”+“ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. Enter the initialization password“ 123456 ”, and then enter the first set of new user fingerprints or passwords. To enter a fingerprint, it needs to be pressed 5 times.
   If entering a password, enter a 6-8 digit password and press“ # ”, then enter the same password again and press“ # ”. When the password is successfully entered, the keyboard will light up green and emit a long beep sound. After entering a group of administrators, the password keyboard will continuously flash green to prompt you to continue entering the next group of administrators. Press the“ * ”key (first delete all entered passwords if any) or do not operate for a few seconds to exit the setting.

2. A total of 30 sets of passwords and 50 sets of fingerprints can be added (some models do not have fingerprint functions).

3. The first 3 passwords and the first 3 fingerprints added will be administrators by default. The fourth fingerprint or password entered can only be used as an ordinary user. Ordinary users only have the switch lock function.

4. After entering the new administrator, the original initialization password“ 123456 ”becomes invalid. When pressing“ # ” again to enter the settings, it is necessary to verify the new administrator’s fingerprint or password.

C-APP Bluetooth pairing

1. Press“ # ”+“ # ”+“ 2 ”+“ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, The Bluetooth pairing state will be activated and last for 1 minute.
2. Open the APP, the product icon will automatically pop up for users to add. For detailed operation, please refer to “APP SETUP”

D-Add temporary password

1. Press“ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ 3 ”+ “ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, enter 6 to 8 digits of the password and press“ # ”. Then, enter the same password again and press “ # ”. After the password is successfully entered, the green light will stay on for one second and make a long beep, then automatically turn off the light and exit the menu.
2. A total of 10 sets of temporary passwords can be entered.
3. The temporary password will expire after being used once.

E-Delete users
Press 4 + , The green light on the password keyboard turns t “ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ ” “ # ” o flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, the green light will stay on for one second and make a long beep, then automatically turn off the light and exit the menu, the information of all registered ordinary users will be cleared, but the information of administrators will be kept.

F-Vacation mode

1. Press“ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ 5 ”+ “ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, the green light will stay on for one second and make a long beep, then automatically turn off the light and exit the menu, the system switches to vacation mode.
2. In vacation mode, only unlocking operations can be performed (APP operations are not affected), and the menu can only enter vacation mode operations and self-test operations. Other operations will directly report errors.
3. Release vacation mode: Repeat the above action.

G-Mute mode

1. Press“ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ 6 ”+ “ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, the green light will stay on for one second and make a long beep, then automatically turn off the light and exit the menu, the system switches to mute mode.
2. Release mute mode: Repeat the above action.

H-Delayed automatic locking function

1. Press“ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ 8 ”+ “ # ”, The green light on the password keyboard turns to flashing, prompting the administrator to authenticate. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, enter a number within 5-30 and press the“ # ”key. The green light will stay on for one second and make a long beep, then automatically turn off the light and exit the menu. Set delay automatic locking successfully.
2. Repeat the above action, enter number“ 0 ”and press the“ # ”key to cancel delayed automatic locking.
3. The number“ 5-30 ”represents 5 to 30 seconds, which can automatically lock according to the selected time.

I-Factory reset function:

Method 1:
Press the“ # ”+ “ # ”+ “ 0 ”+ “ # ”password keyboard to flash the green light once, and the blue light will continue to flash to prompt the authentication administrator. After successfully verifying with any set of administrator fingerprints or passwords, the password keyboard will keep the green light on and emit a long beep to indicate successful operation.

Method 2:
Open the battery compartment cover and insert the needle of the screw package into the hole below the Reset.
Press and hold the factory reset key for 5 seconds. The password keyboard lights up green and emits a long beep to indicate that the operation is successful.

Virtual password function

1. The door lock supports the virtual password function, and can be unlocked by inputting any number before or after the correct password, which plays a role in preventing peeping.
2. The total number length of the imaginary password is 40 digits.

About Low Battery Alarm
When the battery voltage is lower than 4.8V, the device will illuminate a red light alarm.
Please replace the battery in a timely manner.

APP Setting

App Installation
A. Download and install the “Smart Life” app from the mobile app store than register and log in.
B. Search the “Smart Life” app through your browser, download and install it than register and log in.
C. Scan the QR code on the right to download the “Smart Life” app than register and log in.

Connect the lock with the “Smart Life”App
A. Turn on your phone Bluetooth and positioning
B. Wake up the lock and press to enter t “ # ”+“ # ”+“ 2 ”+“ # ” he network operation
C. Open the smart life app, the device will automatically jump out, the device name is “Deadbolt Lock”, click “Add” to add the device, after the download is completed, click ” Next” to modify the device name, and then click “Done” can be.

Member management
A. Family members:
Click “Member Management” under the unlocking interface to enter the member management interface, then click “+” in the upper right corner, click “Add Now” to add family members. Then enter the family member’s name and Smart Life app account number, then click “Save” and your family member will receive your invitation mes sage.

Delete family members: My → Family Management → “Name of the family you created” → click the name of the family member you want to delete, and then click Remove Member.

B. Other members (this applies to limited-time users: such as rental houses, homestays, hotels, etc.)
Click “Member Management” under the unlocking interface to enter the member management interface, then click “+” in the upper right corner, click “Add Now” to add other members. Then enter the member’s “nickname” and set the unlock “Permission Settings” and “Expiration Date” and then click “Save”.(The effective date must be set.)

If the battery is replaced or the lock end is powered off, other member users cannot unlock the lock, and the administrator must connect the APP to refresh before the operation can be resumed.

Enter user information
Click “Settings” under the unlock page to enter the settings page

A. Enter fingerprint users:
Select “Fingerprint Management”, click “Add Fingerprint”, select the user you added earlier (family members/other users), then click “Start Collection” and enter the fingerprint on the lock as prompted （to ensure the integrity of the fingerprint entry, the location of each fingerprint entry should be different). After the entry is complete, enter the user’s name and click “Finish”.

Only after entering the administrator fingerprint (at least one), other users’ fingerprints can be entered (otherwise, the operation failed) will be prompted), and the first fingerprint of the administrator cannot be deleted; The fingerprints under the administrator have administrator attributes (such as verifying the administrator Fingerprint when restoring to the factory).

B. Enter password users:
Select “Password Management”, click “Add Password”, select the user you added earlier (family members/other users), enter the 6-digit password you need to set (it can also be randomly generated), enter the password user name, and click “Save”

C. Temporary password management
Temporary password management has one-time passwords (can only be used once during the validity period) and periodic passwords (can be used multiple times during the validity period) Select “Temporary Password Management”, click “One-Time Password”, only the administrator has this permission, enter the 6-digit password that needs to be set (can also be randomly generated), enter the password name, set the effective time and expiration time, and then click “Save”

Select “Temporary Password Management”, click “Periodic Password”, only the administrator has this permission, enter the 6-digit password that needs to be set (can also be randomly generated), enter the password name, set the effective time and expiration time, open the “Repeat” option to select the password cycle, click “Save”.

D-Generate dynamic password
Swipe left on the lock opening page to the next page, click “Get Dynamic Password”, send the dynamic password to the guest, and enter the dynamic password on the lock to unlock the lock. (Dynamic password age: 5 minutes).

E-Restore factory settings on the smart life app
(Only the administrator app can operate)
Click the edit button in the upper right corner of the unlock page, then click “Remove Device”, select “Unbind and Clarify Data”, and click “OK”.
The lock will issue a voice prompt of “Factory reset successful”
