Can I use a universal USB Type-C for Android devices, Lightning cable for

iPhone, or charger with the Razer Kishi?

The Kishi controller does not require charging and utilizes the smartphone’s power to operate. However, it does provide pass-through charging to the connected smartphone (USB Type-C or Lightning headsets and accessories are not supported). Razer does not take responsibility for any damage that occurs as a result of using a defective USB-C or Lightning cable.

Can the Razer Kishi be connected wirelessly to a smartphone or PC?

The Razer Kishi was designed for direct connection to smartphones via USB-C for Android devices or Lightning cable for iPhones.

Where can I find the serial number for the Razer Kishi?

You can find the serial number on the underside of the device. A sticker on the left side shows the model number and the serial number of your device. Learn more about locating Razer devices’ serial numbers.

No, the Razer Kishi does not include this feature. Button mapping and stick sensitivity adjustment may be available within the mobile game settings.

The Razer Kishi supports both iPhone and Android devices.

Do I need the mobile app to use the Razer Kishi?

No. You can connect the Razer Kishi controller independently.

How To

How to change the rubber grips on the Razer Kishi

To make sure your phone will fit snugly into the Razer Kishi controller, you may need to change the attached rubber grips. Follow the steps below to properly remove and change the rubber grips:

Pull the rubber grip gently on an outward direction until it is fully removed from the controller.
Do the same on the other rubber grip.
Insert the first rubber grip firmly starting at the upper portion until it is fully inserted back to the controller.
Do the same on the other rubber grip.

Troubleshooting

The buttons on my Razer gaming controller is not working in Android 11.

It’s a known bug in Android 11 where it prevents controller input on a wired or wireless connection.
As seen in the support thread on the Android Issue Tracker, the bug was acknowledged by Google.

You can fix this issue by disabling the “Accessibility option” in your phone’s setting, including apps and services that have been enabled under the “Accessibility” menu, such as Macrodroid, Tasker, Autoclicker, automate, and the like.

My Razer Kishi does not work correctly with a specific program or game

The Razer Kishi will work with Android HID compatible (Android version) and MFi compatible (iPhone version) games. If the game developer did not provide standard Android/MFi controller support in the game, then it will not support the Razer Kishi as well. You may wish to contact the game developer and lodge a request for standard Android/MFi controller support.

If you are experiencing issues while using the Razer Kishi in a particular app, try using the controller in another game to rule out potential app- specific issues. If the Razer Kishi functions properly in another application, then the program is likely the cause of the issue. Feel free to contact customer support to report the issue and see if there are any fixes or workarounds.

To know which games support the Kishi controllers:

Android

Download the Kishi mobile app and navigate to “Discovery” to find featured games with controller support.

iPhone

Launch the App Store and navigate to “Arcade”. Games with controller support will have the “Controller Supported” badge.

The controller doesn’t work properly when playing Fortnite on iPhone 7

series and lower versions.

It is recommended to use the iPhone X series and later versions for the best gaming experience.

The LED on the controller is not lighting up when launching specific games

or apps.

Games and apps control the lighting behavior on the controller.

The controller no longer work after it was interrupted during an upgrade.

To recover, please follow the steps below:

Detach the controller from the phone.
Re-attach the controller to the phone.
Kill and re-launch the Razer Kishi App.
Start the firmware update again.

When I press the “Special Functions” button labelled as the “Home” icon,

it does not take me back to my phone’s Home Screen.

The “Special Functions” button does not function the same way across different apps or games. The behavior of the button will depend on the function specified by the app or game developer.

The Razer Kishi is draining the connected phone’s battery rapidly, even

when it is not in use or have been idle for long hours.

The Razer Kishi uses your phone battery whenever it’s plugged in. We recommend removing the controller from your phone when not in use to avoid draining your phone battery.

How to update the firmware on the Razer Kishi for Android

Folow the steps below to update the firmware on the Razer Kishi for Android:

Download the latest Kishi app. If you already have the app, make sure it is the latest version by checking for updates in the Google Play Store.
Connect the Kishi to your phone and launch the Kishi app.
To check if your controller needs an update, tap on your avatar on the top left corner and look for the controller name under “Paired Controller”. Tap “Update”.
Follow the firmware update instructions in the next page. Unplug your phone, but keep the Kishi app open. Then, press the Y, B and Right Function buttons simultaneously while reconnecting your phone.
If the previous steps are executed correctly, the “Update Firmware” button at the bottom will become active. Tap on “Update Firmware” and wait for the update to complete. If the “Update Firmware” button remains inactive, this means the previous steps weren’t completed successfully. Please repeat Step 4.
