Adjust the DPI setting of the Razer Mouse through Razer Synapse 3

DPI stands for “Dots per Inch” which is basically the measurement of your mouse sensitivity. It is the measure of how far your cursor moves on the screen every time you move your mouse. The higher the DPI setting applied on the mouse, the farther its cursor goes to every movement you make.

Razer Mice have the capacity of up to 16,000 DPI and can be adjusted either manually or through Razer Synapse 3.

To adjust the DPI setting using Razer Synapse:

  1. Open Razer Synapse and click on your mouse.

  2. Once you entered the mouse window, go to the “PERFORMANCE” tab. DPI setting is adjusted using the “SENSITIVITY” Section of the window.

  3. You can adjust the DPI by using the Stage options:

  4. Toggle the “Sensitivity Stages” switch on to enable the stages options.

  5. Stages can be edited to show 2 to 5 stages.

  6. Click on the desired stage level for your mouse sensitivity. The default set up ranges from 800 DPI (Stage 1) to 16000 DPI (Stage 5).

  7. For Example: If you want to adjust your DPI from 1800 DPI to 4500 DPI, all you need to do is click on Stage 3.

  8. You can edit each stage with your preferred DPI by manually inputting the values on the text field on every stage. The values you input will also apply if you perform on-the-fly adjustment.

  9. For Example: if you wish to change Stage 3 from 4500 DPI to 5000 DPI, you can simply click on the text field and input 5000.

  10. You can also adjust the DPI by using the slider at the bottom of the Sensitivity section:

  11. The slider is set to default to adjust both the X (horizontal movement) and Y (vertical movement) axis movement.

  12. If click on the “Enable X,Y” tick box, it will give you the option to set the DPI level for the X and Y Axis.

  13. Enabling the X and Y axis will also show X and Y fields on the sensitivity stages.

Note:  You can also adjust the DPI setting manually on the mouse itself. You can do the set-up by following the steps in How to manually change the DPI Sensitivity on my Razer Mouse.
