How do I connect my Jabra Engage to my Avaya IP 2410, IP 5410, IP 6416D, IP 6416M, 6424D, 6424M desk phone so I have remote call control using my headset?

Prerequisites

  • Jabra Link 14201-20 electronic hook switch (EHS)
  • One of the following Avaya desk phone models:
    Model IP 2410
    Model IP 5410
    Model IP 6416D+M
    Model 6424D+M

To connect your headset:

  1. Plug the phone cable supplied with the headset into the socket marked with the blue phone icon on your Jabra base, and into the socket marked with a phone icon on the EHS adapter.

  2. Connect the cable marked red to the socket marked AUX on the EHS adapter, and to the AUX socket on the Jabra base.

  3. Connect the cable marked white and A to the socket marked Headset/handset on the EHS adapter, and to the headset socket on the phone.
Important: If you have a 6416D+M / 6424D+M phone, use the cable marked white and B (instead of the cable marked A).

  4. Connect the signal sensor to the EHS adapter and fasten it in the middle of the phone loudspeaker.

To configure your headset when connecting to a desk phone for the first time:

  • For the Jabra Engage 75, follow the onscreen setup wizard on the base.
  • For the Jabra Engage 65, the initial setup is complete after connecting the cables.
