What is the function of the Jabra Noise Guide USB key?
The Jabra Noise Guide USB key contains the Jabra Noise Guide software for your Windows computer.
After installing the software, you can use the USB key for the following purposes:
- Transferring log measurements from the internal log to the Jabra Noise Guide software using the USB key.
- Transferring your light configuration from the Jabra Noise Guide software to the Jabra Noise Guide unit using the USB key instead of connecting directly to your computer. This may be useful if you have multiple units spread around the office, or if you change the configuration of the Jabra Noise Guide.
- Storing measurement data directly on the USB key. All measurement data is then logged on the USB key as well as in the internal log. This may be useful if you want a more detailed view of the data than ‘LAeq 1 minute’. If you store data with the USB key connected directly in the Jabra Noise Guide, you obtain very detailed data with eight measuring points every second. You can view the log measurements as LAeq measurements in the Jabra Noise Guide software afterwards. The software is available for Windows on the Jabra Noise Guide product support page.
- If needed, you can update the firmware in the Jabra Noise Guide using the USB key. Some company firewalls may prevent the software from downloading a firmware update to the USB key. Contact your company’s IT support for guidance about firmware files and installation.
Note:
Depending on your operating system, you may need to format the USB key so you
can transfer to or extract data from it.
