| | The Technicolor CGM4331 has the following ports and buttons.

  • WPS – Located on the back of the gateway above the telephone ports, this button can be used instead of entering the WiFi password to connect wireless devices that support WPS to the gateway. WPS works only for wireless networks that use a password that is encrypted with the WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal security protocols.

Pressing and holding the WPS button for 60 seconds results in a factory reset. All customized settings are lost and all settings are set back to factory defaults.

  • Telephone Ports – Connect to home telephone wiring and to conventional telephones or fax machines. The telephone port on the top left side is for the first line of phone service. The top right telephone port has a plug labeled do not remove and can only be removed when there is a second line of phone service.
  • Ethernet Ports – Ethernet ports 1, 2, 3, and 4 are available to connect to the 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports on your computer or other devices. It is recommended that devices be hardwired if possible. Note : Ethernet port 4 marked with an orange line on the bottom right is the 2.5 Gbps port and is the preferred port for wired devices.
  • Cable Coaxial Input – Connects the coax cable to the cable wall outlet.
  • Power – Connects the power cord to the gateway.

| | MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.

Note : The default SSID and password are listed on the bottom of the device. To change these, use the Panoramic Wifi app or web portal at wifi.cox.com. After a factory reset, the SSID and password revert back to the default.
