Sinupulse Elite Nasal Sinus Irrigation System
IMPORTANT: Please be sure to take proper care of the O-ring located on the outside bottom of the water tank (pictured) as indicated in the user guide. The O-ring is critical to the performance of the irrigator and may become dry from regular saline use, mineral deposits, and calcification. Almost all issues with water flow and leaking can be quickly and easily resolved with these simple steps. A small application of Vaseline around the O-ring on first use and periodically (2-3 X annually) will help minimize leaking, ensure proper water flow, and maintain optimal performance of your SinuPulse Elite®.

  1. Add one pre-mixed packet of SinuAir® to 16 oz (500cc) of distilled water and mix thoroughly for use in the SinuPulse Elite® and fill the reservoir. SinuAir® will dissolve a bit cloudy due to the additional potassium and calcium salt compounds and is normal. This formulated solution has been reported best for healthy nasal ciliary function. However, the SinuPulse® may be used with most saline products. Do not leave any
solution in the water tank when not in use it is non-hygienic and corrosive. The reservoir is not intended to store solution between uses.

  2. Attach standard cleansing sinus tip (dark blue) by inserting it into the handle until it is fully seated. A small twist to the left and right once the tip is fully inserted will help ensure the tip is secure.
Note  Light blue (translucent) SinuMist® Atomizer Tip has been designed for a more specific targeted delivery of doctor-recommended or holistic rinses. Its use should be limited to a small volume (3-4 oz) and should not be used for larger volume irrigation (8-24 oz).

  3. Position the soft nasal tip over the sink, open-end pointing upward. Turn on the unit by pushing the on-off switch on the base of the unit.

  4. Use the volume control dial on the SinuPulse Elite® base to adjust the stream so that it is approximately one inch high. You can increase the intensity as is comfortable to do so.

  5. The EZ Touch push-button on the handle may be used to conveniently adjust the pressure or pause the stream by simply depressing for fingertip control.

  6. Turn off the machine. Place the sinus tip up to the nose against the nostril to form a comfortable seal.

  7. Lean over sink facing toward the drain. In this position, drainage down your throat will be minimal and the treatment will be comfortable and pleasant.

  8. Turn on the machine using the on-off switch on the base. The solution will gently pulsate in one nostril and out the other while stimulating nasal cilia and removing mucous and debris.

  9. Keep the head midline. Do not blow nose or swallow while the solution is flowing.

  10. Use about 1/2 the basin (8 oz or 250 cc) on each side.

  11. Run clean water through the irrigator after use to flush out any residual saline solution. Rinse the water tank and allow it to air dry. We recommend disinfecting the SinuPulse® periodically with dilute vinegar (3:1) and rinse with clean water when you are done to remove residual vinegar solution. This will help to disinfect and decalcify the unit which can contribute to clogging.

  12. It is normal for small drops of fluid to exit the nose for some time after use.

ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR’S ADVICE WHEN USING THIS DEVICE.
