Important Safety Instructions

Please read instructions carefully before operation

1. To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover from the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel only.
2. Do not use the converter near water.
3. Clean with a dry cloth only.
4. Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another confined space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
5. To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire hazard due to overheating, do not obstruct the unit with newspapers, tablecloths,  curtains, or similar items.
6. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, etc.
7. Unplug during lightning storms or when unused for a long time.
8. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly near plugs.
9. Only use manufacturer specified attachments/accessories

Introduction

This HDMI 1.4 Switch enables up to five HDMI source devices ( such as DVD player, cable box, gaming consoles, Apple TV,  and Sky WDTV console etc.) to be connected to a single HDMI input port on your HDTV or projector. It can be used to expand the number of HDMI ports on any HDMI device. It supports UHD 4K @ 30 Hz HDCP 1.4 Its video amplifier bandwidth can be up to 10.2Gbps/300MHz.Itis an easy, convenient and inexpensive solution for expanding your home theater setup.

How It Works:

1. Take an HDMI cable and plug one end into the HDMI input port on an HDTV or projector. Plug the other end into the output HDMI port on the switch.
2. Take another HDMI cable and plug one end into the HDMI output port on one of your media device or gaming console.  Plug the other end into the one HDMI input port on the switch.
3. Repeat the above step to connect up to 5 your media devices (Cable Box, DVR, DVD player, Apple TV etc.).
4. Check and select the correct input channel on your TV.
5. Plug the output end of power adapter into the DC Power jack. Plug the power adapter into an AC power outlet, then push the POWER button on. Your switch is connected and ready for use now.

Operations:

Automatic Input Selection:
When the switch is powered on for the first time, it senses input ports automatically and switches to the input port source automatically in the sequence 1->2->3->4->5… It bypasses input ports without a signal.

When a new device is turned on, the switch will detect and selects that input channel automatically.
Note: Some source devices that stay in a stand-by mode can always maintain a connection with the switch and keep its HDMI  port active. This non-compliant behavior does not allow the switch to perform its auto- switching. In this case, you have to select your input channel by a panel button or remote control manually. Apple TV is one such non-compliant device.

To select an HDMI input, press the “SWITCH” button on the front panel of the switch. Each press of the button progresses to the next active HDMI input and its corresponding input LED indicator is on.

There are direct input selection buttons on the remote control (Buttons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Pressing each button selects the corresponding input channel, no matter whether the port has an active signal or not.

There is a Power button on the remote control, you can press it to turn on/off the switch.

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

1. What devices is the HDMI switch compatible with?
   This switch should work well with any media source device with HDMI output. It supports latest HDMI version 1.4 and lower, compatible with UHD 4K media devices, supports high resolutions up to 3840*2160@30Hz. Most latest 4K media devices in the market are compliant with HDMI 1.4 & earlier standard, such as 4K DVD player, Xbox One, PS4, and more.

2. Is it HDCP-compliant?
   HDCP is copy protection to prevent copy-righted contents from traveling across HDMI/DisplayPort/DVI freely unless the connected devices are HDCP-compliant. The HDMI 1.4 Switch support HDCP 1.4.

3. Why isn’t my switch working?
   Our switches have been extensively tested and work well. It is solidly constructed with a metal case and well packed for shipping, ensuring the product you receive should be of high quality. lf you have any problems, there are some common  issues that you should double-check:

1. Please make sure your HDMI cables are securely connected to the switch and TV or media device. Lose connections can cause issues.
2. Please make sure your HDMI cables are working and it support HDMI 1.4 (4K@30Hz). Try a different HDMI cable to check if cable is the issue.
3. Ensure the switch is powered on and your input devices are powered on.
4. Test with just one input device. Check if the input device works directly with the TV. This will also help verify the HDMI cable
