Take your time and read the following instructions and information completely.
Please keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you
sell the device, please pass these operating instructions on to the new owner.

Safety instructions
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits specified in the technical data.
- The battery is permanently installed and cannot be removed; dispose of the product as a whole in accordance with the statutory regulations.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.
- Be considerate. High volumes can disturb or interfere with your surroundings.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
- While driving a car or using sports equipment, do not allow yourself to be distracted by your product and keep an eye on the traffic situation and your surroundings.
- Do not incinerate the battery or the product.
- Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Switching on/off
- Press and hold the function key (2) for approximately 3seconds to switch the loudspeaker on /off.
- An audible signal sounds and the status LED (1) starts to flash.
Note -Automatic switch-off
Please note that the loudspeaker will switch itself off after 8minutes of
inactivity (no audio playback / no Bluetooth function).
Charging
Warning – rechargeable battery
- Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections to charge the product.
- Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.
- Do not overcharge the product or allow it to completely discharge.
- Avoid storing, charging, and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
- Charge regularly (at least quarterly) during periods of prolonged storage.
Note -Waterproof properties
- Carefully seal the micro-USB port after the charging process to ensure that the product is waterproof.
- Be aware that water can influence the range and sound of the loudspeaker.
Note
- Do not charge the product on your PC /laptop USB port. This can cause damage to the USB port.
- Use the enclosed USB charging cable only for this loudspeaker -not for other devices.
Fully charge the loudspeaker once before using it for the first time.

Open the cover and connect the loudspeaker
Open the seal on the micro-USB port.
Connect the supplied micro-USB charging cable to the micro-USB port (5) on the loudspeaker.
Connect the free plug on the micro-USB charging cable to a suitable USB charger. To do this, consult the operating instructions for the USB charger you are using. -
Charging process
The “Charging” status LED (8) starts to light up red.
Once the battery is fully charged, the status LED (8) will go out.
The actual battery life will vary depending on how you use the device, the settings, and the ambient temperatures (rechargeable batteries have a limited life).
Note –charging process
• A complete charging cycle takes about 3hours.
• The loudspeaker’s rechargeable battery can be charged both when it is switched on and off.
• If the battery capacity is less than 10%, a warning sound is heard twice. This information is
only provided if the loudspeaker is switched on.
Waterproof properties
The loudspeaker has been tested to ensure it is waterproof according to IPX7
and therefore maintains its
functions even if immersed in water up to 1m deep for up to 30
minutes.
Liquids against which the device is waterproof as specified:
freshwater, tap water, water from a swimming pool, seawater
Liquids other than those specified above (soapy water, water containing
cleaning agents or bath additives, shampoo/conditions, water from hot sources,
etc.)
Note -Waterproof properties
Be aware that, on contact with water, all charging ports must be sealed.
Operation
7.1 Bluetooth
Note
- Check whether your mobile device (MP3 player, mobile phone, etc.) is Bluetooth-capable.
- Note that the maximum range for Bluetooth is 10 meters without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.
- Ensure your Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.
- Ensure that the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 meters.
Ensure that the loudspeaker is switched on.
Check the status of the status LED (7)

If the status LED (7) is flashing quickly,
the loudspeaker is searching for a connection.
If the status LED (7) is flashing slowly,
the loudspeaker is already paired with a Bluetooth device. -
Use your device to search for the loudspeaker.
Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth devices shows
Hama Pocket 2.0.
Select Hama Pocket 2.0 and wait until the loudspeaker is shown as connected in the Bluetooth settings of your device. An audible signal confirms the successful connection.
Note –Bluetooth password
• Some terminal devices require a password in order to connect to another Bluetooth device.
• If your device requests a password to connect to the loudspeaker, enter -

The status LED (7) flashes slowly white. -
Automatic Bluetooth connection (after successful pairing)
• Ensure your Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.
• Ensure that the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 meters.
• Switch the loudspeaker on.
• After a successful automatic connection, the status LED (7) flashes slowly. An audible signal confirms the successful connection.
Note – connection impaired
After the loudspeaker and device have been paired, a connection is established automatically. If the Bluetooth connection is not established automatically, check the following:
• In your device’s Bluetooth settings, check that Hama Pocket 2.0 is connected. If not, repeat the steps listed under points 1and 2.
• Check that your device and the loudspeaker are less than 10 meters apart. If not, move them closer together.
• Check whether obstacles are impairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.
7.2 Audio playback via an audio cable (3.5 mm jack)
Ensure that the loudspeaker is switched off.

Connection with the audio cable
Connect your mobile device (MP3 player, smartphone, etc.) and the AUX input (6) on the loudspeaker using an audio cable with an a3.5 mm jack plug.
Set the volume on your device to alow level.

Switch the loudspeaker on
Switch the loudspeaker on. A signal tone and the green status LED (7) confirm the readiness for operation.
Start audio playback on the connected device. The music playback can also be controlled from the speaker (provided the connected device supports this).
Audio playback
Start and control audio playback accordingly on the connected device. Alternatively, the audio playback can also be controlled from the loudspeaker (provided the connected device supports this).

Volume
Briefly press the function key (4) to increase the volume.
Briefly press the function key (3) to reduce the volume. -
Play /Pause
Press the function key (1) to start or stop the audio playback. -
Skip
Make a long press of the function key (4) to skip to the next track.
Make a long press of the function key (3) to skip to the previous track.
Hands-free system
It is possible to use the loudspeaker-like hands-free facility for your mobile phone. The mobile phone must be paired via Bluetooth with the loudspeaker for this function.

Accept call
Press the function key (1) once to accept an incoming call.
Reject call -
Press and hold the function key (1) for approx. 2seconds to reject an incoming call.
End call -
During the call, press the function key (1) once to end the call.
Last number redial -
Press the function key (1) twice in succession to re-dial the last number.
Note -call quality
- Please ensure you are near the loudspeaker during a call on your mobile phone in order to increase the quality of the call.
