IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.

  2. Before using check that the voltage of wall outlet corresponds to rated voltage marked on the rating plate.

  3. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.

  4. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug, in water or other liquid.

  5. Remove plug from wall outlet before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance cool down completely before taking off, attaching components or before cleaning.

  6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

  7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

  8. Place appliance on flat surface or table, do not hang power cord over the edge of table or counter.

  9. Ensure the power cord do not touch hot surface of appliance.

  10. Do not place the appliance on hot surface or beside fire in order to avoid to be damaged.

  11. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.

  12. Do not use appliance for other than intended use and place it in a dry environment.

  13. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used by or near children.

  14. Be careful not to get burned by the steam.

  15. Do not touch the hot surface of appliance (such as steam wand, and the steel mesh just boiling). Use handle or knobs.

  16. Do not let the appliance operate without water.

  17. Scalding may occur if the water tank is removed during the brewing cycles.

  18. Do not remove the portafilter when appliance in brewing coffee or when steam and hot water escape from portafilter and ensure to release the pressure in water tank before removing portafilter.

  19. Connect plug to wall outlet before using and turn any switch off before plug is removed from wall outlet.

  20. Relief pressure through steam wand before removing tank cover or portafilter.

THE FIRST TIME USE OR A LONG TIME NOT USE THE MACHINE
For a better taste and good for your health, we suggest you to rinse the machine and release the water out.

  1. Fill water into the water tank NOT exceed the MAX line. Set up the water tank vertically and align the buckles to the hole on the back of the machine, and press it down to be parallel to the top of the machine. (If you had operated the machine just now,skip this step)
  2. Plug in the power cord, press power switch to the “I” position,the LED screen displays all icons,which will flash as the appliance starts heating. (If you had operated the machine just now,skip this step)
  3. Place a cup on the drip tray. Turn the knob to the far side
  4. Press one of the button.
    TIPS: There may be noise when pumping water for the first time or after along time not used, it is normal that the appliance is releasing the air inside. After about 20s, the noise will disappear.

USE GUIDE 1: FROTH MILK ALONE

  1. Make sure to tear off the sealing tape from the bottom of the water tank. ( If it has been torn, please skip this step.) Before frothing milk, please be sure the knob is on the
  2. position which shows the machine is in standby mode. As the knob is a functional selection knob, if it is not in the that means you have selected one of the function,
  3. which could not operate the following steps.  Make sure the froth nozzle is clean and Not blocking.
START TO OPERATE
  1. Fill water into the water tank NOT exceed the MAX line. Set up the water tank vertically and align the buckles to the hole on the back of the machine, and press it down to be parallel to the top of the machine. (If you had operated the machine just now, skip this step.)
    NOTE: When the water tank is pulled up, the water will flow out from the outlet at the bottom of the water tank, which is a movable part. If you have not wipe the water immediately, it will accumulate more and more and ran to the bottom of the machine, leaving the table full of water.

  2. Plug in the power cord, press power switch to the “I” position, make sure the knob is on the ” ” position. All the blue indicators will flash as the appliance starts heating . (If you had operated the machine just now, skip this step.)

  3. Please wait until all the blue indicators stop flashing before turning on the steam, otherwise it comes out with a weak steam. After all the blue indicators stop flashing, it means the heating is finished, you can continue to operate step 4.

  4. Prepare a pitcher with about 100ml of milk. Fill the pitcher with milk and insert the frothing nozzle into milk bout 1-2cm. Turn the knob to the far side “ ”, steam will come out from froth nozzle.
    NOTE:

  5. When the machine starts to work, there will be some noise out from the machine as it is pumping the water with a high pressure.

  6. While during operation, if there is suddenly a loud noise from the machine, which is due to the water in the water tank is not enough for pumping.

  7. Please pay attention to the water volume and add water in time.

  8. Froth milk in the way moving vessel round from up to down, after the milk increase in volume by 2 times or the required purpose is reached, turn the knob back to the ” ” position to stop. Take away the frothing pitcher.

  9. Press the power switch to “O” cut off the power source.

  10. Let them cool down completely.

NOTE:

  1. During the milk frothing, if there is suddenly a noise and coming out with small steam. Please check whether the water is enough and add water in time. When the water left the water tank is going to finished, it will produce a louder noise. After adding water, it will operate as usual.
  2. When you finish frothing milk and turn the knob back to “ ”, if the temperature is lower, all the blue indicators will flash. The pressure relief hole will make a loud noise with some steam coming out from the drip tray. It is because the machine relieving the pressure, which is normal and not a problem.

USE GUIDE 2: MAKE ESPRESSO ALONE

  1. Make sure to tear off the sealing tape from the bottom of the water tank. ( If it has been torn, please skip this step.)
  2. Before making espresso, make sure the knob is in the middle “ ” position which shows the machine is in standby mode. As the knob is a functional selection knob, if it is not in the “ ”, that means you have selected one of the function, which could not operate the following steps.
  3. ① Not to make espresso immediately after milk frothing. You should wait until all the blue indicators stop flashing, then continue to make espresso from step 3.
    ② As with NTC precision thermostats, the espresso extraction temperature is controlled at 197℉, while the milk frothing temperature is at 212℉.
    ③ If the temperature is too high to make espresso, the steam will be splash from the portafilter and hot water will drip off. It will result in a small amount of coffee and a bad taste.
START TO OPERATE
  1. Fill water into the water tank NOT exceed the MAX line. Set up the water tank vertically and align the buckles to the hole on the back of the machine, and press it down to be parallel to the top of the machine. (If you had operated the machine just now,skip this step.)
    NOTE: When the water tank is pulled up, the water will flow out from the outlet at the bottom of the water tank, which is a movable part. If you have not wipe the water immediately, it will accumulate more and more and ran to the bottom of the machine, leaving the table full of water.

  2. Plug in the power cord, press power switch to the “I” position, all the blue indicators will flash as the appliance starts heating.(If you had operated the machine just now, skip this step.)

  3. Place 2-cup mesh inside the portafilter, make sure the tube on the mesh aligns with groove in the portafilter. To achieve a full flavor, 7g coffee powder is best for one cup of espresso. To avoid leaking, coffee powder should be tamped BELOW the MAX line of portafilter. But powder could not be tamped too firmly otherwise the coffee will not flow out smoothly.

  4. Faced up the portafilter, then installed in parallel to the machine from “Insert” to “Lock” in placed, otherwise the coffee will splash and leak from the gap of the connection position.

  5. When all the blue indicators stop flashing, it shows the heating is finished. Make sure the knob is on the ” ” position. Never skip to step 6 before the blue indicators stop flashing. As if the temperature is not suitable for making espresso, it will effect the coffee taste.

  6. Place a cup on the drip tray. Turn the knob to the far side “ ”. If the cup is tall, you can remove the drip tray cover and put the cup into the drip tray.

  7. After the screen stop flashing, select ” 1 Shot” or “2 Shot” according to the mesh you used.
    TIPS: 1 Shot of espresso is about 30ml.
    NOTE:
    ① When the machine starts to work, there will be some noise out from the machine as it is pumping the water with a high pressure.
    ② While during operation, if there is suddenly a loud noise from the machine, which may due to the water in the water tank is not enough for pumping.
    ③ After adding water, it will operate as usual .

  8. Waiting for a moment, the espresso will flow out. Take away the cup. Espresso is done. When finish brewing coffee, turn the knob back to middle place.

  9. Press the power switch to “O” cut off the power source.

  10. Let them cool down completely.

NOTE:

  1. When you finish frothing milk and turn the knob back to “ ”, if the temperature is lower, the screen will flash. The pressure relief hole will make a loud noise. It is because the machine relieving the pressure, which is normal and not a problem.
  2. The portafilter should be removed after a while as the machine need to relieve the pressure. Otherwise,the steam will splash out because of the strong pressure.Please remove in parallel. Because high pressure, the water will fully penetrate into the coffee powder, it takes time for water to pass through and flow out of the coffee powder. So it is normal that the excess coffee will drip off.

TIPS:
During operation, if the espresso is dripping out and doesn’t flow smoothly. Please check if the water is not enough and add water in time. If not, please check whether the coffee powder is tamped too firmly, which will also cause the espresso flow unsmoothly, and comes out a small volume.

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. When finishing producing steam, the temperature of the boiler is very high, if you press the coffee switch or turn the operation knob to“ ” position, both of the coffee switch light and steam switch light will flash for alarming, it indicates the appliance need cooling;
  2. When press the power switch to “I” position to start the appliance, mistaken press the steam switch, you can press the coffee switch immediately for the coffee function. But if it is after a while, you can not press the coffee switch as both of the coffee indicator and steam indicator will flash. In that case, you can wait until the two switches stop flashing and remain coffee switch in blue.

CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS

  1. To make sure your appliance operating efficiently, internal piping is cleanly and the peak flavor of coffee, you should clean away the mineral deposits left every 2-3 months.
  2. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level ( the scale of water and descaler is 4:1, the detail refers to the instruction of descaler. Please use “household descaler”, you can use the citric acid (obtainable from chemist’s or drug stores) instead of the descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
  3. Press the power switch to “I” position to power on the unit. The coffee switch light will flashing blue. The appliance will start heating.
  4. Waiting for a moment, until the coffee switch light becomes solid, it shows the pre-heating is finished.
  5. Turn the operation knob to the “ ” position and make two cups coffee (about 2Oz). Then turn it to the “O” position.
  6. Press the steam switch, the steam switch light will flashing white, waiting for until the light becomes solid. Turn the operation knob to the “ ”position and make steam for 2mins, then turn the operation knob to “O” position to stop making steam. Press the power switch to “O” position to stop the unit immediately, make the descaler deposit in the unit at least 15 minutes.
  7. Restart the unit and repeat the steps of 3-6 at least 3 times.
  8. Then brewing coffee (no coffee powder) with tap water in the MAX level, repeat the steps of 3-6 for 3 times (it is not necessary to wait for 15 minutes in step of 6), then brewing until no water is left in the tank.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom Cause Corrections

Water leaks from the bottom of coffee maker.

| There is much water in the drip tray.| Please clean the drip tray.

The coffee powder is stored in a hot, wet place for a long time. The coffee powder turns bad.

| Please use fresh coffee powder, or store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.

The coffee maker cannot work

any more.
