Safety Notes

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
  • Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the product, for example when driving a vehicle or operating sports equipment. Always pay attention to the surrounding traffic and your environment.
  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
  • Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
  • Since the battery is integrated and cannot be removed, you will need to dispose of the product as a whole. Do this in compliance with the legal requirements.
  • Dispose of packaging material immediately according to locally applicable regulation.
  • Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
  • Do not throw the battery or the product into fire.
  • Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/ rechargeable batteries.
  • Use the product for its intended purpose only.
  • Use the item only in moderate climatic conditions.
  • Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
  • Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic devices is not permitted.

Warning – Battery

  • Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections for charging.
  • As a rule, do not charge devices or USB connections that are defective and do not try to repair them yourself.
  • Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
  • Avoid storing, charging or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure (for example, at high altitudes).
  • When stored over a long period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).

Warning – High volumes

  • High sound pressure level!
  • There is a risk of hearing damage.
  • To prevent hearing loss, avoid listening at high volume levels for long periods.
  • Always keep the volume at a reasonable level. Loud volumes, even over short periods, can cause hearing loss.
  • Using this product limits your perception of ambient noise. For this reason, do not operate any vehicles or machines while using this product.

Getting Started

  • The headset is equipped with a rechargeable battery. The battery must be fully charged before using the device for the first time.
  • Ensure that the headset is switched off before charging it.
  • Begin charging by connecting the USB plug (11) of the charging cradle (8) to a suitable USB connection, for example, on a PC/ notebook, or to a suitable USB power supply unit. Then place the headset in the charging cradle.
  • The status LED (3) lights up constantly in red during the charging process.
  • Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hours

Warning

Do not use the headset while it is charging.

  • When the battery is fully charged, the status LED (3) is lit white.
  • Disconnect all cable and mains connections after use.

Note
If you have not used the item for a few month, it may take 15-30 minutes for the status LED (3) to red when charging.

Operation

Switching the headset on/off

  • Turn On:
    Switch on the headset using the on/off switch (1). A voice says, ‘Power on’ and the LED indicator (3) flashes white.

  • Turn Off:
    Switch off the headset using the on/off switch (1). The LED indicator (3) briefly lights up white and a voice says, ‘Power off’. The first time the device is turned on, pairing is automatically started

Bluetooth® pairing

Note – Pairing

  • Make sure that your Bluetooth ®-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth ® is activated.
  • For more information, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.
  • The headset and the terminal device should not be any further than 1 metre away from each other. The smaller the distance, the better.
  • Ensure the headset is off.
  • Device off: Switch on the headset using the on/off switch (1). A voice says, ‘Power on’ and the LED indicator (3) flashes white. The headset is searching for a Bluetooth ® connection.
  • Open the Bluetooth ® settings on your terminal device and wait until MyVoice 1300 appears in the list of Bluetooth ® devices found.
  • Bluetooth ® devices found.
  • Select MyVoice 1300 and wait until the headset is listed as connected in the Bluetooth ® settings on your terminal device.

Note – Bluetooth ® password If your terminal device requests a password to establish the connection, enter 0000.

Note: If pairing was successful, the status LED (3) flashes slowly. A voice says, ‘Connected’

  • You can now use the headset.
Automatic Bluetooth ® connection (after successful pairing)

Note

  • Make sure that your Bluetooth ®-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth ® is activated.
  • For more information, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.
  • Make sure that the headset is switched on.
  • After the headset and terminal device have been paired, a connection is established automatically.
  • You can now use the headset.

Note

  • If pairing was successful, the status LED (3) flashes slowly. A voice says, ‘Connected’.
  • It may be necessary to change the settings on your terminal device to enable it to automatically connect to the paired headset.

Note – Connection impaired

After the headset and terminal device have been paired, a connection is established automatically. If the Bluetooth ® connection is not established automatically, check the following:

  • Check the Bluetooth ® settings of your terminal device to see whether MyVoice 1300 is connected. If not, repeat the steps listed under 5.1 Bluetooth ® pairing.
  • Check whether obstacles are impairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.
  • The performance can also be affected by a weak battery.
Multi-pairing
  • The headset can be paired with two terminal devices at once so that, for example, you can use a private and a business mobile phone simultaneously.
  • To begin with, activate Bluetooth ® only on the first terminal device that you wish to pair.
  • Pair the first terminal device with the headset as described in 5.1 Bluetooth ® Pairing.
  • Turn off Bluetooth ® on the first terminal device.
  • Activate Bluetooth ® on the second terminal device.
  • Continue as decribed in 5.1 Bluetooth ® Pairing.
  • Once the second terminal device is connected, open the Bluetooth settings on the first terminal device and select MyVoice 1300.
  • Now both terminal devices are connected to the headset.
Hands-free function

Note

  • Note that support for certain key functions may vary depending on your terminal device.
  • For more information, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.

You can use the headset as a hands-free set for your mobile phone.

Making a call

  • Dial the number directly on your terminal device to make a call.

Voice-activated dialing

  • Please check if your mobile phone supports voice dialing function.
  • Hold the Multifunction button (2) for approximately 1 second. Then you can hear a short beep.
  • The mobile phone’s voice control will be activated.
  • Start a call as described in your mobile phone’s operating instructions.
  • Say the name of person you wish to call.
  • If the voice tags are paired to the related phone number stored in your mobile phone, the number will be dialed.

Accepting calls

  • Press the multifunction button (2) once to answer an incoming call.

Rejecting an incoming call

  • Briefly press the multifunction button (2) twice to reject an incoming call. You will hear a short tone.

Ending a call

  • During a call, press the multifunction button (2) once to end the call. Alternatively, you can place the headset in the charging cradle to end the call. For this purpose, the charging cradle must be connected to a USB port that is ready for operation.

Redial

  • Briefly press the multifunction button (2) twice to call the last number.
  • You will hear a short beep.
Voice Assistant function

The Voice Assistant is an integrated, interactive function that enables you to start communication with your Siri or Google Assistant at the press of a button. This function enables you to ask questions and get various forms of help from your voice assistant, even if you are not holding your telephone in your hands. Below you will find some examples selected from the large number of possibilities.

Note – Siri
Siri is only available on suitable terminal devices with iOS 5 or higher (from iPhone 4s onwards).

Note – Google Assistant

  • • The Google Assistant is only available on suitable terminal devices with Android 5.0 or higher, Google Play Services, > 1.5 GB of free memory and a minimum screen resolution of 720P.
  • The Google Assistant app must be available on your terminal device and set as the default voice assistant

Press and hold the Multifunction button (2) for approximately 2 seconds while the headset is connected via Bluetooth ® to start communication with your Siri or Google Assistant. As soon as you hear an acoustic signal, your voice assistant is ready to help you.

  • Example 1:
    Press and hold the Multifunction button (2) for approximately 2 seconds. You will then hear an acoustic signal and the voice assistant opens. After a further acoustic signal, you can speak into your headset: ‘What’s the weather like today?’ The voice assistant will answer as follows, for example: ‘Mainly cloudy with some showers’

  • Example 2:
    Press and hold the Multifunction button (2) for approximately 2 seconds. You will then hear an acoustic signal and the voice assistant opens. After a further acoustic signal, you can speak into your headset: ‘What time is it?’ The voice assistant will answer as follows, for example: ‘It is 8 pm’

  • Other examples: Set an alarm for tomorrow at 7 am.
    Play music. What’s in the news?

Volume control
  • Press the [VOLUME -] button (5) to reduce the volume.
  • Press the [VOLUME +] button (4) to increase the volume.
Audio playback
  • Press and hold [VOLUME -] button (5) to skip to the previous title.
  • Press and hold [VOLUME +] button (4) to skip to the next title.
Disconnecting the headset
  • Switch the headset off.
  • Disconnect the headset via the Bluetooth ® settings on your terminal device.
Battery level
  • If the battery level is low (< 25%), a voice says, ‘Battery low’.
  • Charge the headset.

Note
However, the talk and standby times may vary when used with different mobile phones or other compatible Bluetooth ® devices, usage settings, usage styles and environments.

Care and Maintenance

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Make sure that water does not get into the product.
