Safety instructions

Before opening the device, disconnect the mains plug and remove the power supply; failure to do so could result in serious injury or death. This also applies when cleaning the device or working on the connections. The device is not protected against drops or splashes of water. Do not let the product come into contact with rain, moisture or other liquids to avoid damaging the device and to prevent injuries due to short circuits. Only connect the device to a mains socket that has been approved for the device. The mains socket must always be easily accessible. Never use or open a defective device. Repair work may only be conducted by an authorized specialist. As with all electronic devices, keep the device out of the reach of children.

Installation notes

Only connect the device to a mains socket that has been approved for the device. Plan out the installation location for the device such that the mains plug can be easily reached and unplugged in case of emergency. Choose an installation location such that children cannot play with the  device or its connections unsupervised. The installation location must allow for safe routing of all connected cables. Neither power supply cable nor the supply cable may be damaged or crushed by any objects. In order to avoid damage to the device and any secondary damage, all devices intended for wall-mounting may only be mounted on a flat surface.

Moisture

Choose an installation location where the device will not, under any circumstances, come into contact with liquids or other objects (e.g. condensation, ceiling leaks, water from plants, etc.).

Heat

Do not place the device near heat sources (e.g. radiators, other electric devices, fireplaces, etc.) and avoid placing it in direct sunlight. Open flames (e.g. candles) are not to be placed on the device. With devices that have coolers or ventilation openings, it is very important to ensure that these are never covered or obstructed. Also ensure that the device receives generous air circulation. This will prevent possible damage to the device as well as fire hazards as a result of overheating. It is also very important to ensure that the cable does not come into contact with heat sources (e.g. radiators, other electric devices, fire places, etc.).
