Safety Notes

• Use the product for its intended purpose only.
• Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and only use it in an adry environment.
• Do not bend or crush the cable.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
• Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting the cable, never on the cable itself.
• Keep this product, like all electrical products, out of the reach of children!
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
• When using this product, observe the applicable local traffic laws and regulations.
• Take care that components such as airbags, safety areas, controls, instruments, etc., and visibility are not blocked or restricted.

Notes

• For some vehicle types, the ignition has to be switched on to supply power to the 12 V car socket. For more information, please refer to your vehicle’s manual.
• Disconnect all cable and onboard connections after use.

Notes for connecting the power supply unit to suitable terminal devices

• Before connecting a terminal device, check whether the power output of the main supply can supply sufficient power for the device.
• Check whether the device you want to use for mains operation is compatible with the connection assignment of the car power supply unit. If necessary, contact the retailer of your terminal device or the support center of your terminal device manufacturer for more information.
• Connect the correct adapter to the power cable’s DC connection line. This connection is protected against polarity reversal; i.e. the adapter fits easily into the connection cable in one position only. Therefore, it is extremely important that you never attempt to forcibly insert the adaptor plug in the wrong position, as this can lead to the polarity being reversed.

Getting started

Please refer to the instructions in the operating manual of your terminal device.

• Check the mechanical compatibility between the car power supply unit’s adapter and the socket of your end device without plugging it
• Set the voltage selection switch to the voltage required by your terminal device.
• Plug the car power supply unit into a car power
• The terminal device can now be used and switched on.
