General Safety

  • Ensure that you read all of the safety instructions before using this product.
  • This product has been designed and manufactured to meet European safety standards, but like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured.
  • Do read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the product.
  • Do ensure that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, extension leads and interconnections between pieces of equipment) are properly made in accordance with the instructions.
  • Switch off and remove the mains plug or mains adapter when making or changing any connections.
  • Do consult your dealer if you are ever in doubt about the installation, operation or safety of your product.
  • Don’t remove any fixed covers as this may expose you to dangerous voltages.
  • Don’t continue to operate the product if you are ever in doubt about it working normally, or if it is damaged in any way. Switch it off, withdraw the plug from the mains and consult your dealer.
  • There are no user serviceable parts in the product. When servicing, refer to qualified service personnel.
  • Don’t leave the product switched on when it is unattended for long periods of time, unless it is specifically stated that it is designed for unattended operation or has standby mode.
  • Don’t obstruct the ventilation vents on the product, for example with curtains or soft furnishings, as this may cause overheating.
  • Do not place the product in closed bookcases or racks without proper ventilation.
  • Do not use the product in humid or damp conditions or allow it to be exposed to rain or moisture.
  • Store the product in a clean, dry environment.
  • The product shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on it.
  • Position the power cable and other connected cables so that they are not likely to be walked on, pinched or where items can be placed on or against them.
  • Never allow children to insert foreign objects into holes or slots on the product.

    • bed and breakfast type environments.
  • Do not use this appliance with any foodstuff product containing sugar content or with products containing jam or preserves.
  • When toasting a single slice, the bread may be placed in any toasting slot.
  • Do not change the variable browning control during the toasting. First press the cancel button then turn the variable browning control to adjust the level.
  • Do not insert a fork or other utensil into the appliance in order to remove bread as this may damage the appliance and there is a high risk of electric shock.
  • Should toast remain blocked in the appliance, remove plug from power outlet, wait for it to cool down then turn the appliance over and shake it gently.
  • Never use the appliance unsupervised. Switch off the appliance whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment. Ensure the room is well ventilated.
  • Do not cover the appliance or put anything on the top of the toasting slot.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives, caustic cleaners or oven cleaners when cleaning this appliance.
  • Clean the crumb tray regularly as crumbs can smoke or burn.
  • Do not store the appliance until it has fully cooled down.

Before First Use

  • Remove all packapinp materials including those that may be inside the toasting
  • Unwrap power cord from cord storage area underneath the toaster and plug into a suitable power
  • Turn the variable browning control to 6 which is the highest
  • Lower the operating lever until it locks in Operate the toaster empty once or twice to burn off any manufacturing residue. You may notice a small amount of smoke; this is normal and will stop as the heating elements continue to heat. Repeat this step until all smoke and odour are pone.

Using your Toaster

  • Plup the toaster into a suitable power outlet.
  • Turn the variable browning control to the required setting (1 — lipht, 6 — dark).
  • Place bread into toasting The automatic centre puide will hold food upright for uniform side-to-side toasting.
  • Press the operating lever down This wont lock down unless the toaster is connected to the electricity supply. Toasting will begin.
  • When the bread reaches the selected browning level, it will pop up
  • To stop toasting at any time, press the cancel button.
  • To toast frozen bread, lower the operating lever down until it locks then press the defrost button.
  • To reheat toast, lower the operating lever down until it locks then press the reheat button.
  • Carefully remove bread from toasting slot(s) as bread and top of the toaster will be hot.
  • Unplug from power outlet when not in Use.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Before cleaning, switch off the toaster, unplug from power outlet and allow it to cool completely.

  • Clean the exterior surface of the toaster with a damp cloth and then polish with a soft dry Do not use steel wool pads or harsh/abrasive cleaners.
  • Slide the crumb tray out at bottom of toaster. Dispose the crumbs and wash the tray in hot, soapy Always dry thoroughly before placing it back into the toaster.

Electrical information

(Fixed Mains Plug Only)

The mains lead supplied with this product is fitted with a BS1363/A plup. If it is not suitable for your supply sockets it must be replaced with an appropriate plug.

If the plup becomes damaged and/or needs to be replaced please follow the wirinp instructions on the next pape. The plup removed must be disposed of immediately. It must not be plupped into a supply socket as this will be an electrical hazard.

If the fuse needs to be replaced it must be of the same ratinp and ASTA approved to BS1362. If the plup is changed, a fuse of the appropriate ratinp must be fitted in the plup, adapter or at the distribution board. If the fuse in a moulded plup is replaced, the fuse cover must be refitted before the appliance can be used.

Wiring Instructions

The supply cable will be either 2-core or 3-core. Follow the appropriate wiring instructions shown. In both cases ensure that the outer sheath of the cable is firmly held by the cable clamp.

This product is guaranteed for twelve months from the date or original purchase. You will need to have your receipt or purchase to hand.

The guarantee is subject to the following provisions:
