NOTE:

If your computer or laptop has a built-in camera, you need to change the default camera settings, such as change the default camera in the software settings, or disable the built-in camera in the computer settings.

Attention:

1. Make sure the network is connected before you plug in the webcam.
2. If you cannot find the webcam on the application, we need to turn on the privacy rights as below:

In Window : Click setting > Click privacy > Click webcam, select the application you use, turn on the privacy rights

On Mac: Menu > System preferences > Security and Privacy > Webcam, Select the application you use, turn on the privacy rights.

If you still can’t use the webcam, please take reference of the Q1 on FAQ to solve the issue.

How to review the webcam:

Windows: Directly type system camera application on the windows search box, and open the camera review.

If no camera application option on Windows, you can download AMcap app or other video conferencing app to review.

MAC: Mac user could use Mac system camera application photo Booth app as below: Click the start button > Photo Booth app > Camera > Select the webcam and you can preview your webcam.

FAQ:

Q1: How to know if the webcam can be detected by computer?

A : Plug in the webcam to the USB2.0/USB3.0 on the computer, check the device manager after few seconds as below: Click control panel > Systems and Security > Device manager

For MAC system: Click Apple Menu > Click About this Mac > Click System Report

Q2: Why the video voices is so small? Why there are echo during the video call?

A : Windows: Enter Control Panel > Sound, Select the web camera’s Microphone and adjust the volume to default 100.

MAC: Enter System Preferences > Sound, Select the Web Camera’s Microphone and adjust the volume to default 100.

If above still can’t solve the problem, please try below method:

1. Click Device Properties, and select the microphone of the webcam.
   

2. Adjust the level to which you feel best.
   

Q3: How to adjust the abnormal color during the use?

A : We take Skype as example to show how to adjust. Click Settings, Select Audio& Video, and click Webcam settings.

You can adjust the image performance as you like ad click confirm.

Q4: Cannot use on Windows 7 system?
A : Your system version may not support the webcam protocol, so your webcam cannot work, you can download Zoom or Skype to test, if still cannot use, you need to change your operating system.

Q5: Webcam’s microphone cannot work or cannot be detected?
A : Enter Computer management > Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game controllers, select Web camera and select “Uninstall device”, plug off and plug in webcam again.

Q6: How to use webcam on chatting software (Like Skype or FaceTime)?
A : We take Zoom and Skype under Windows 10 as example, you can take reference of it if using other video conferencing software. Make sure the webcam already connect to computer before use, which you could check Q1.

Using method on Skype

1. Start Skype, Click setting:
   

2. Click Test Audio to check if the webcam audio is work normal.
   

Select the Web camera under the Camera section, if the image is normal then you could using it under meeting.

Using method on Zoom

1. Start Zoom, click the microphone setting icon under the left side > Test Speaker & Microphone.

2. Test speaker if work normal.
   

3. Test microphone if work normal.
   

4. Select the video icon on the left side, click setting > Web Camera.

Q7: Why my video call application do not support 1080P?
A :

1. Check the meeting software setting if the video format is 1080P.
2. Check your computer CPU and Memory footprint, you can dear it and speed up Memory.
3. Check the Internet status, change the better network environment.

Q8: Does the webcam support Linux operation system?

A : If your Linux operating system support UVC protocol, you can use webcam normally, if not support UVC, we suggest you download Linux UVC and install it.

Q9: Why it is black screen when you try to preview image?

A:

1. The camera be occupied by other program, shut down the program is all right.
2. Web camera code is H264, the video preview software (AMCap) do not support 11264 Decoder.
3. Change the USB port or change a computer to test.
4. The computer cannot identify the webcam.
5. Privacy rights limited, please take reference to able the camera privacy rights.

Q10: Why the image seems deformation when you preview on the video conferencing software?

A : It is related to the video format aspect ratio, like you setting the video format as 640480 (4:3), and the display is 1280720 (16:9), it would leads to deformation.
