GENERAL PRODUCT SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING

WORK AREA SAFETY

Keep work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Do not expose the heated jacket to rain or wet conditions. Water will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the power cable. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the heated jacket. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when using the heated jacket. Do not use while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention may result in serious personal injury.
PRODUCT USE AND CARE

  • Do not use the heated jacket if the power button does not turn it on and off. Any heated jacket that cannot be controlled with the power button is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Disconnect the battery pack from the heated jacket before storing. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the heated jacket accidentally.
  • Store out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with these instructions to operate the heated jacket. The heated jacket can be dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Maintain the heated jacket, check for damage, and any other condition that may affect the heated jacket’s operation. If damaged, have the heated jacket repaired before use.
  • Use the heated jacket in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the heated jacket for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE

  • Recharge only with the charger supplied with the jacket. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  • Use the heated jacket only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

SERVICE

Have your heated jacket serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the heated jacket is maintained.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR HEATED JACKET
Read instructions carefully.
USE :

  • This heated jacket is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the heated jacket.
  • Do not use this heated jacket with an infant, child, a helpless person, or anyone insensitive to heat, such as a person with poor blood circulation.
  • If you have a medical condition making you sensitive to overheating, or you use any personal medical devices, consult the devise manufacturer and/or your physician to determine if the use of this product is appropriate.
  • Never use if the inner liner is wet.
  • Heating elements are not recommended to touch bare skin.
  • Shut off the power immediately if discomfort occurs.
  • Do not allow the cords to be pinched.
  • If the improper operation of this heated jacket is observed, discontinue its use immediately and contact the place of purchase for repair.
  • Do not use pins. They may damage the electric wiring and heating pads.

CARE:

  • Before washing, disconnect and remove the battery pack and battery holder from the battery holder pocket. Push the power cord completely into the battery holder pocket and fasten it closed.
  • Follow Care Instructions on jacket tags. Machine wash, Gentle Cycle in warm water.
  • Max water temp 30C
  • Tumble Dry Low Heat.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not wring or twist.
  • Do not dry clean. Do not use dry-cleaning fluid on this heated jacket. Do not bleach.
  • Cleaning solvents may have a deteriorating effect on the insulation of the heating element.
  • Maintain labels and nameplates. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact the place or purchase for a replacement.

ASSEMBLY
WARN I NG Recharge only with a charger specified for the battery.
INSERTING/REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK
Insert the jacket input cable from inside the battery pocket into the input cable port on the battery pack.
Place the connected battery pack into the pocket and close the zip.
To remove the battery, remove from the battery pocket and remove the jacket input cable.
While removed, recharge the battery pack with the charger provided. plug the charger into the power supply and insert the other end into the battery pack charger port (5).
WARN I NG Always enclose the jacket input cable inside the battery pocket with the <….!..) zipper closed. This will prevent damage.
USING THE USB PORT
The USB port can be used to charge a personal device that uses less than SV~ 1A of
DC electrical current. It is not recommended to use the pocket warmer when an electronic device is charging in a pocket.
To charge a personal device, plug the device charging cable into the USB port and press the
USB power button. The USB port will remain on for two hours before turning off automatically.
POWER GUAGE STATUS
Press the power button on the battery pack to display the battery pack’s remaining power.
OPERATION
The power button is located on the upper left side of the jacket.
POWER ON:
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. When turned on the LED light will cycle through the colors and remain on high setting, showing a RED LED light.
TEMPERATURE ADJUST:
The heat setting can be adjusted by pressing the power button again. Each press will cycle through the zone’s temperature settings. See below:

POWER OFF:
Press and hold the zone’s power button for 2 seconds. The LED light will turn off. If the heated jacket turns off unexpectedly, check connections and re- charge the battery pack.
CARE
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, always unplug the charger and remove the battery pack from the heated jacket before performing any maintenance. Never disassemble the heated jacket, battery pack, or charger. Contact the place of purchase for ALL repairs.
If the heated jacket does not start or operate properly with a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on the battery pack. If the heated jacket still does not work properly,  return the heated jacket, charger, and battery pack contact the place of purchase for repairs.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury and damage, disconnect and remove the battery pack before washing. Never immerse your battery pack, or charger in liquid or allow a liquid to flow inside them.
HOW TO CLEAN THE HEATED JACKET

  1. Remove the battery pack.
  2. Put the jacket input cable completely into the battery holder pocket and fasten the zipper.
  3.  Machine wash using a gentle cycle in cold or warm water with a maximum temperature of 30°C. Do not use bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not wring or twist.
  4. Line Dry in shade or Tumble Dry on Low Heat. Do not iron.

LONG TERM STORAGE

  •  Ensure heating pads and input wire is not creased or damaged.
  • Ensure the battery pack is placed in a location away from metal parts that may cause it to short.
  • During storage, it is best to keep the battery at 80% charge, storing the battery without any charge may damage the battery cells.
  • Keep in a cool dry place. See below-recommended storage temperatures and humidity levels.

Use only spare parts specific to the 5 Zone Heated Jacket. Should components need to be replaced which have not been described, please contact the place of purchase.

This warranty is provided by Total Tools (Importing) Pty Ltd of 20 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne VIC 3207. Phone: 03 9261 1900 (we, us, our).
Express Warranty
Subject to the exclusions set out below, we warrant that this product will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies which you may be entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, and any other statutory rights you may have under other applicable laws. This warranty does not exclude, restrict or modify any such rights or remedies.
Warranty exclusions
This express warranty does not apply where a defect or other issue with the product is caused by normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse of the product.
Consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty claims
To make a claim under this warranty, you must bring the product along with the proof of purchase and any other documentary evidence which you think is relevant to the Total Tools’ place of purchase where the claim will be handled on our behalf. Any cost incurred by you in bringing the product to the place of purchase will be borne by you.
To make a claim under this warranty, the product and proof of purchase must be returned to the Total Tools place of purchase during the warranty period specified above.
If your warranty claim is accepted, we (or the Total Tools store that handles the claim on our behalf) will, at our discretion, repair or replace the product, or refund money to you and take back the product.
