COOKING TIPS
-
For an extensive list of foods and their ideal amounts, temperature and time settings, along with preparation notes, see the Air Fry Cooking Chart and Dehydrate Chart on pages 64 through 67 of the Gourmia Recipe Book.
-
Air fryers perform similar to ovens; follow oven instructions on item packaging or recipe.
-
Snacks that can be prepared in an oven can also be prepared in the air fryer.
-
Smaller ingredients usually require a slightly shorter cook time than larger
ingredients. -
Preheating the air fryer before adding food will generally deliver the best results (see PREHEAT ..
-
When cooking multiple batches in a row, only preheat before the first batch.
-
Turning or tossing food halfway through cook time will deliver evenly browned and crispy results (see TURN REMINDER on page 9).
-
Toss fresh potatoes with 1 tablespoon of oil for a crispy exterior. Air fry the ingredients within a few minutes after adding the oil.
-
Do not cook foods that will produce a large amount of grease in the air fryer.
-
Place a baking pan or an oven-safe dish or pan in the basket to bake a cake or quiche or to air fry fragile or filled ingredients.

Plug the air fryer into an outlet.
Tap the power icon to turn the air fryer on.
Tap the desired preset.

Can I use aluminum foil in my Gourmia air fryer?
I wouldn’t recommend putting anything in just because the air is meant to travel all the way around the food, top to bottom. So if you put foil or parchment paper you are going to block some air flow so you wont get as crispy of results.
What fruits can you dehydrate in air fryer?
However, most fruits (and vegetables) can be dehydrated. Her go-to’s are strawberries, apples, pears, peaches, and apricots, to which she adds a few teaspoons of lemon juice to help preserve their color. Store air-fried fruit in airtight containers.
What is the difference between a convection oven and an air fryer?
An air fryer uses hot air to cook food, while a convection oven uses both hot air and a fan to cook food.
How do I clean my air fryer?
All parts are dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand washing the basket and lid for best results.
What can I cook in my air fryer?
Anything you can cook in your oven! We recommend cooking frozen foods at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. If you are cooking fresh foods, we recommend cooking at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Can I use metal utensils with my air fryer?
Yes! Metal utensils are okay to use with your air fryer. Avoid using plastic utensils as they may melt.
Is dehydrated fruit healthy?
Dried fruit is highly nutritious. One piece of dried fruit contains about the same amount of nutrients as the fresh fruit, but condensed in a much smaller package. By weight, dried fruit contains up to 3.5 times the fiber, vitamins and minerals of fresh fruit.
How do you preheat a Gourmia air fryer?
To begin the air frying process tap the power icon.
NOTE: Press the preheat icon to add 3 minutes to the preparation time to
preheat the air fryer. When cooking multiple batches only preheat before first
batch.
How do you stop Gourmia air fryer?
If using these settings, press Start/Pause Button. When done, the Air Fryer will automatically turn Off. The Fan will continue to cool down for 1-5 minutes before turning Off.
Can I use vinegar to clean my air fryer?
Soak your fryer basket in a vinegar solution.
Mix a solution of half-vinegar, half-water and soak your basket for 15 minutes
before scrubbing with your brush and rinsing.
Can you boil water in an air fryer?
Keep water away from the electronic parts of your Airfryer or you will end up damaging your machine and the heating element due to a short circuit. Heating a soup bowl or reheating gravy is perfectly fine. You won’t be able to boil the water in an air fryer, but you will end up with hot steamy liquid.
