Features of Your Industrial Heater With LED Worklight
Your Industrial Heater With LED Worklight
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Heater.
Before first using your Heater, it is most important that you read and follow
the instructions in this use and care booklet, even if you feel you are quite
familiar with this type of appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the section dealing with IMPORTANT
SAFEGUARDS. Find a place and keep this booklet handy for future reference.
You are designed to function quietly and safely under normal circumstances.
This quality Heater is fully portable, with a sturdy base and an industrial
design.
Operation
When operated for the first time, the unit may emit an unpleasant burning type of smell. This is normal and will disappear after a short period of use.
- Carefully remove the heater from the plastic bag and carton. Place the heater on a level surface in a stable upright position. Make certain the power switch is in the “OFF” position.
- Unwind the power cord and plug your Industrial Heater into a socket outlet. Ensure that the voltage on the specifications plate is the same as in the areas where it will be used.
- Switch on the heater to the heating level you prefer. Turn the thermostat dial fully in a clockwise direction to the maximum setting.
WARNING: Allow the heater to cool down for 30-60 seconds before switching
on again and before turning off at the power outlet. This will protect the
inner parts.
NOTE: It is normal when the heater is turned on for the first time or
when they are turned on after having not been used for a long period of time
to emit some smell and fumes. This will disappear when the heater has been on
for a short while.
Replace any crack protective shied
Thermostat Dial
To find the ideal thermostat setting for you, first set the dial to the maximum position. As soon as the temperature is comfortable, turn the thermostat to the direction of minimum position slowly, until the heater heating goes off.
Heating & Worklight Power Switch Setting
FAN Setting
This switch engages both fan and heater, fan speed can not be altered and will always remain constant. To use this appliance like an air circulator Fan only, set the power switch to “ ” setting.
LOW Setting
The “ ” setting, powers 1200W to the heater elements. This setting is best suited to smaller, well-insulated areas that require less warming to maintain temperature.
HIGH Setting
The “ ”setting, powers full heat (2400W) to the heating elements; delivering rapid warming air to quickly increase the emperature in a given area. To avoid overload situations, it is recommended that no other appliances are used at the same time on the same power outlet.
10W LED Worklight
To turn the work light ON or OFF, press the rocker switch at the back of the
heater. O=OFF I=ON.
Thermal Cut-Out
A Thermal Cut-Out is built into this heater to minimize the risk of overheating and maximize safety to users. A heat-sensing device monitors internal temperatures in the appliance. If heat levels rise beyond a preset safety threshold the Cut-Out will switch off power to the heat elements, eliminating further danger. Let the heater cool for approximately 10 minutes, then it will function normally again. In the event of a Thermal Cut-Out check for visible obstructions to air inlets. Try moving the appliance to a new position. Sometimes placement close to walls and furniture can restrict air movement enough to cause the heater to shut down.
Tip-Over Switch
This appliance is fitted with a safety tip-over switch which automatically
turns the unit off when it is tilted or tipped over. Always ensure that the
unit is placed on flat solid ground before operating.
When operating the heater for the first time or after a period of prolonged
storage it is normal for the heater to emit a burning smell, fumes, and a
little smoke around the Heating elements. It requires only a few minutes of
(“Burn In”) time for the smell, fumes, and smoke to disappear and this “Burn
In” time should ideally be conducted in a well-ventilated area before moving
the heater to its intended position for ongoing use.
Care and Cleaning
Always ensure the appliance has cooled completely before cleaning and maintenance.
-
Always switch off the appliance and unplug it from the electrical socket and wait for it to cool down before cleaning. Ensure that the unit is cool enough to work on.
-
Avoid contact with heat surface/parts.
-
Use only a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan heater. Keep the fan heater clean.
-
Never spray with liquids or submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid.
-
Clean the air inlet/outlet grilles frequently.
Do not allow any objects to enter air inlet or outlet as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater. -
Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents to clean this product and avoid using abrasive cleaning agents. Use a slightly dampened, lint-free cloth to clean this appliance.
-
Store the appliance in its original box to protect it from dust in a dry place if it will not be used for a long period of time. Warning: NEVER immerse the unit, power cord and plug in water or any liquid while cleaning and never allow water to drip into the appliance.
