Description and features
INTEGRAL-WPM1 is a 2-channel wall-panel format audio mixer. It includes one
balanced XLR microphone input (Phantom 12V can be activated with internal
jumper) and
an unbalanced Stereo Line input (2 x RCA or 1×1/8” jack). Each channel (mic
and line) has its own independent level control. The microphone´s signal can
be prioritized over the line signal by engaging the talk-over functionality
(internal jumper). It allows mixing these two signals getting a balanced mono
output that can be sent to Matrix amplifiers, matrix or amplifiers.
- 2 channel mixer, wall-panel format
- Unbalanced Stereo Line input (2xRCA, 1×1/8” jack)
- Balanced Microphone input (XLR) with integrated High Pass Filter
- Balanced mono signal output
- Independent volume control for MIC and Line channels
- Priority (Talk-over) function available (MIC over Line)
- Phantom power available for MIC channel
- External 12-24Vdc External PSU required, INTEGRALPS12
- 86 x 86 mm electrical box included
Front panel
A Balanced Microphone input XLR connector. Pin assignments:
1 or S = GND (Ground)
2 or T = (+) Non inverted input
3 or R = (-) Inverted input
B Microphone´s level control. For minimum level rotate completely to the left
C Unbalanced Stereo Line input RCA connectors
D Line´s level control. For minimum level rotate completely to the left
E 3.5mm audio mini-jack input for connecting external audio sources as
tablets, phones, PCs etc. The minijack input would be added to the unbalanced
RCA inputs
Rear panel
A Audio Output Connector and Vdc in. The 6 pin Euroblock type connector is
used to connect the analog audio cables and the Vdc voltage from the external
power supply. Pin assignments:
1 V+ from the power supply
2 V- from the power supply
3 OUT + , Audio Signal, Pin 2 of an XLR connector
4 OUT- , Audio Signal, Pin 3 of an XLR connector
5 not used
6 Earth
B Link Jumper: used to connect EARTH and V- of the Power Supply. Normally has
to be connected to avoid noise or hum.
C PHT Jumper: When inserted the Phantom power will be available at the XLR
connector
D TKO Jumper: Remove it to activate Talk Over functionality of the
Microphone´s signal over the line signal
Connections
The image on the right shows INTEGRALWPM1 panel connected to a paging MC01 microphone using the input XLR connector. A stereo line signal has been injected using the two RCA connectors with a minijack cable connected to the mobile phone (or computer).
Other possibility would be using the minijack input connector for the line
input.
Use the level knobs at the front panel for each input channel to define your
mix of the two signals (line and mic).
Connections
Remember that Phantom power for the microphone can be activated at the rear panel of the WPM1 before installation by connecting the dedicated PHT jumper (see image on page 5). As well, the talk-over functionality (priority) of the microphone signal over the line input can be activated by removing the TKO jumper located at the rear panel as shown in the figure below.
The INTEGRAL-WPM1 needs to be connected to an external 12-24Vdc power sup-ply. DAS Audio´s INTEGRAL-PS24 with uni-versal mains is ideal to be installed inside walls and construction structures.
Installation
With each unit an electrical 86 x 86 mm box is included. Contact a professional installer or authorized dealer for the mounting process.
- Cut a squared hole in the wall to place the electrical box.
- Place the electrical box and fix it to the wall. Previously all cabling (speaker outputs, AC power and signal input) has been installed in the wall with sufficient length to provide proper stress relief.
- Run the cables out of the wall through the electrical box.
- Attach the metal mounting ring to the electrical box with the provided screws.
- Mount the connectors on the extremes of the installed cabling.
- Connect the unit (speaker outputs, AC power etc.) and secure it to the mounting ring.
