WARNINGS
BATTERY PACK

The battery pack should be fully charged before use. Initially charging the battery pack after purchase or extended storage [8 weeks or more] will not bring the battery to full capacity. A charge/discharge cycle of two to three times with use will bring the battery pack to its full operational capacity.

Always charge the Battery Pack using the provided Charger.
improper charging may damage the Battery Pack or cause the Battery Pack to explode. -
Switch off the FRS before charging to ensure the battery pack is charged properly.

Avoid exposing the Battery Pack to temperatures below -20° C or above 60°C

Never dismantle the Battery Pack or expose the internal battery cell.

Do not dispose of the Battery Pack in fire

Do not short-circular the Battery Pack

Dispose of the FRS observing local regulations being mindful of the Battery Pack.

Do not attempt to access the internal battery cell.
ANTENNA
- Do not use this FRS radio if it has a damaged Antenna.
- Do not hold the Antenna when the FRS is in use as this may reduce the range and may cause harm.
- Non-genuine Antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the FRS, will void the Warranty, and breach the FRS’s compliance
GENERAL
- If you carry any kind of personal medical device, please consult a doctor before using the Radios.
- Do not use the Radios in a potentially explosive setting (e.g. around pumps, on the lower deck of a boat or around a fuel storage area or around chemical products], or near blasting
- Ensure Radios are turned off if on an airplane or in a
- Please seek advice from the Manufacturer or your Physician if you are using this FRS in proximity to Medial Devices such as Pacemakers, Hearing Aids etc to ensure they are adequately shielded from RF energy.

in connection with

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the 22 Channel FRS Radio kit. This easy-to-use FRS
radio with Ultra 2W Transmit Power is perfect for every adventure. With no
confusing sub-channels or complicated setup, you can be up and running in
minutes.
Please read through the instructions carefully to ensure you get the most out
of your new FRS.

GETTING STARTED
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK
To install the battery pack, place the battery at the bottom of the rear of
the FRS and slide upwards while applying firm pressure between the battery and
FRS body until it slides all the way up and locks in to place.
To remove the battery, turn the FR’s upside down and slide the locking tab
towards the front of the FRS as indicated by the arrow while simultaneously
sliding the battery downwards away from the FRS body.
INSTALLING THE BELT CLIP
Attach the belt clip if required by screwing it into the back of the battery
with the screws provided.
USB-C CHARGE & MICROPHONE PORT
Pry open the charging port cover with your fingernail or small screwdriver.
The USB-C charge cable or an optional earpiece microphone can be plugged into
the ports behind this cover.
NOTE:
- The FRS is not waste R resistant when this cover is open.
CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
The battery does not need to be removed from the FRS to be charged. Simply
open the charging port cover and plug the supplied USB-C cable in which can
then be connected to the adaptor or car adaptor. It can also be charged by a
USB Power Bank [not included].
Once charging commences, the LED indicator will illuminate red to indicate
that the FRS is charging. When the battery the pack is fully charged, the LED
will indicate green
NOTE:
- The USB-C cable is reversible so it doesn’t matter which side is up – you can insert it either way.
- Note it will take up to 6-8 hours to charge a fully depleted battery.
OPERATION
POWER
To switch the FRS on, press and hold the power button (41 for two seconds. To
turn the FRS off, press the power button again for two seconds.
CHANNEL UP
Short press (21 to select the next channel up. Long press to quickly move up
channels.
CHANNEL DOWN
Short press (31 to select the next channel down. Long press to quickly move
down channels.
KEY LOCK
Press and hold button (1) for two seconds to disable all of the FRS’s
buttons apart from Transmit to prevent accidental channel or volume
adjustments When Key Lock is activated, a Key icon is displayed on the LED
screen. Press and hold button (1) again for two seconds to disable the key
lock.
TRANSMIT
To transmit, press the PTT button (5) on the side of the FRS. Release the
button to receive the reply.
VOLUME
To increase the volume, press the Side Button (6).
To decrease the volume, press the Side Button (7).
The volume level is displayed on the LED display with “UO” indicating the
minimum volume set and “U7” the maximum volume.
MANUAL SQUELCH
To listen for weaker signals on your selected channel, press and hold the
volume up button (6). This will remove the squelch function of the radio so
you can hear all transmissions (including interference) on the selected
channel.
CHANNEL SCAN
Channel Scan is useful to scan the available FRS channels to either find
who is transmitting nearby or to find a free channel to transmit on.
Press and hold the Volume Down button (7) for two seconds to activate Channel
Scan. The LED Indicator will flash green to signify that Channel Scan is in
progress.
This function will scan all 22 FRS channels and when there is a transmission
detected, the FRS will remain on this channel for around 5 seconds after the
transmission is completed. If there are no more transmissions after the 5
seconds, the FRS will continue scanning.
To exit Channel Scan, press and hold the Volume Down button (7) for two
seconds.
TRANSMISSION RANGE
The optimal transmit range for this FRS is achieved in flat, open outdoor
areas. This is reduced where there are obstructions such as buildings or rough
terrain, or when the FRS is used in confined spaces such as vehicle-to-vehicle
communications.
Do not use these FRS’s when less than 1.5m apart as this may cause
interference
CTCSS & DCS
If you are communicating with another party that is using a different model or
brand FRS Radio than this one which has CTCSS & DCS functions, please ensure
that they set to “0” or -off- to communicate effectively on your selected UHF
channel
