Operating

STEPS

  1. Open the box, then remove the boat and the wood stand. Assemble the wood stand.
  2. Remove the tight band and all retaining straps, then place the boat on the wood stand.
  3. Remove the small boxes containing the small parts, rigging, turrets, and other accessories.
  4. Insert AA batteries into the Radio Transmitter. For this RTR series, the manufacturer has pre-installed the power system.
  5. Charge the drive battery with the included charger.
  6. If your boat is ARTR, install your Receiver inside the hull above the waterline.
  7. Plug the rudder servo connector at CH1 and ESC connector at CH2.
  8. IMPORTANT Always turn the radio on first before plugging in the battery. After use, always disconnect the battery first, then turn the radio off. Never allow your boat to be plugged in while the radio is turned off.
  9. Secure the charged drive battery into the hull. With the radio turned on, plug the battery into the ESC and ensure the battery wires do not impede the motors or drive shafts.
  10. The first time you open the RC, please ensure the ESC is in the neutral position. If the ESC is not in the neutral position, the motor will always rotate. Use the small red tool to adjust the position left or right.
  11. Ensure the rudder is perpendicular to the pushrod. Adjust the set screw to adjust as needed.
  12. Carefully remove masts, antenna and some small parts from their boxes. Complete installation according to the reference photos of your specific boat, or for Sailboats, refer to the Rigging Diagram on the product page for your Sailboat found on the Motion RC Website.

Note: Reference the Requires section on the Motion RC Website for any special requirements for your boat, such as ballast weight. Certain Bancroft boats, including most warships, require the user to add a specific range of ballast before attempting to sail the boat in water.
