What’s in the box?

How to use the device?

1. TURN ON
Hold the button for 5 secs.
Wait until the light becomes solid green

• On 1st power on, the device will attempt to connect to cellular and apply any first-time updates
  During this process, the device may flash blue — this is expected, do not power it off. If the device is stuck on red, please find better cellular reception and restart the device

• Once all updates have been applied, the device will flash solid green.
  It is now ready to be used

WEAR
Attach outside your clothing while the device is in use

• Use the clip or included lanyard to ensure the device is worn outside your clothing
• Press the button once to check the device status: green is functional, red flashes indicate low battery

TURN OFF
Hold the button for 5 secs. Light will flash – green – blue and then turn off

• Press and hold the button for 5 seconds
• The device will flash red, green, blue, and then turn off. The device will stop collecting data while off

Device Functionality and Package Contents

(1) LED Statuses
Activation: Alternate between red, green, and blue. The device is activated.
Power On:
Solid green for 3 seconds after being turned on. The device is powered on.
Solid red for 3 seconds after being turned on. The device cannot connect to the cellular network
Flashing blue. The device is updating firmware.
Power Off: Alternate between red, green, and blue. The device is successfully turned off.
Charging:
Flash green while charging. The device is being charged.
Solid green while charging. The device is fully charged.
Device status check:
Solid green after the button press. The device is in normal operation.
Solid red after the button press. The device is in an error state. Contact your support team.
Device operation:
Solid red. The device must upload data. Go to an area with LTE-M coverage.
Flash red. Low battery. Charge the device.
(2) Button
Device activation (first-time use of the device only):

• Press the button and hold for 1 second

Power on/off the device:

• Press and hold for 5 seconds

Check device status:

• Single press

(3) Charging Port
Micro-USB charging port. Use the included cable to charge the device.
(4) Lanyard Ring
Attach the included lanyard to the ring and wear the device.
(5) Reset Pin
Reset the device by pressing the pin.
(6) Belt Clip
Attach the device to your belt or clothing as an alternate way to wear the device.
(7) Device ID

QR Code: Scan the QR code to return the device ID

(8) Lanyard
A lanyard is included for out-of-the-box device usage. Simply clip it onto the
Lanyard Ring.
(9) USB Cable
A six-inch micro USB charging cable is included. Connect the cable to any standard USB charger to charge the device.

This Device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. This Device generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. What should I consider when using the Contact Tracing Device?
Frequently asked questions to ensure proper usage of the Contact Tracing Device.
What information do Contact Tracing Devices collect?
Much like the Mobile App, Contact Tracing Device data collection is limited to Bluetooth iBeacon identifiers (UUID, Major, Minor) and RSSI (Relative Signal Strength Indicator). These identifiers cannot be associated with any personally identifiable information (i.e. email addresses or names).
Will this track my location?
No, the Contact Tracing Device features an on/off button that should be enabled upon entry to the tracing environment and disabled once the tracing environment has been left.
Can the Contact Tracing Device be switched on/off?
Yes, the device can be turned on and off. To turn the device on or off, follow these steps:

• Turn On & Enable: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. For the first time setup, the device will flash blue. Wait until the light is solid green to proceed.
• Turn Off: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. The device will flash to confirm shutdown.

How can I tell if the Contact Tracing Device is working?
At any time during the operation of the device, push the button for a status check. If the Device flashes Green, it is operating as expected. If the device flashes red, please contact your organization’s support team for troubleshooting.
How can I tell if the Contact Tracing Device is out of battery?
The LED light will flash red when the device is below 25% power. 25% battery is sufficient to accommodate a full day’s use.
Once the user has left the tracing environment, the device should be charged to ensure it can be used the following day.
How do you charge the Contact Tracing Devices?
The device features a micro USB charging port and can be fully charged in under two hours using a standard 5V 0.5A micro USB charger. The Contact Tracing Device battery is rated to last up to seven days.
What do the LED light colors on the Contact Tracing Device mean?

• Device activated or reset alternates between all 3 colors for 3 seconds.
• Battery charging: flashes green every 1.5 seconds while plugged in.
• Battery fully charged: solid green while plugged in.
• Device low battery: flashes red for 3 seconds every minute.
• Device status: on button press, flashes green for 1 second if operational, red for 1 second if error.
• Device is updating: flashes blue every 1 second.
• Device hasn’t offloaded data in 24 hours: solid red until the device connects to cellular and offloads data.
• Device powering down: alternates red, green, blue for 1 second, then shuts down.
• Device successfully powers up: solid green for 3 seconds.
• Device error during power-up: solid red for 3 seconds then device shuts down.
• Devise no cellular connectivity during power-up/update: solid red until the device is manually shut down.

What happens if I don’t have good cellular coverage? Will the Contact Tracing Device still function properly?
The Contact Tracing Device can store data for 24 hours. This allows successful operation in environments with non-ideal cellular
coverage. It is recommended the devices be placed in an area with sufficient cellular coverage at the end of the day to ensure data is backhauled successfully over the cellular network. The device will additionally show a solid red LED if the device hasn’t connected to cellular networks in 24 hours.
What is the durability of the Contact Tracking Device?
The contact tracing device is IP-65 certified (dust-tight and resistant to direct spray by water) to facilitate easy cleaning and sanitation. There are additionally minimal grooves or gaps to prevent dirt and other contaminants from building up on the surface.
It is not completely waterproof and should be treated like most electronic devices.
Does the Contact Tracing Device need to be worn on a particular area of the body for maximum effectiveness?
It is recommended that the Contact Tracing Device be worn externally by users. The Contact Tracing Device’s lanyard attachment can be used to wear the device around the neck. The Contact Tracing Device clip can be used to attach the device to a lapel, belt, or cuff.
