ITEMS SUPPLIED
- 1 x water-saving shower nozzle
- 1 x operating instructions
INTENDED USE
- After being connected to a shower fitting, the product is intended to be used to mix the flow of water with air and reduce water consumption.
- The product is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
- Use the product only for the specified purpose and as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
FITTING
Please Note!
- Keep the packaging material away from young children and animals. There is a danger of suffocation.
- Do not fit the water-saving shower nozzle between the shower hose and shower attachment! This would block the flow of water. The water must enter at the wide end with the internal thread and exit from the narrow end with the external thread.
- Only tighten the water-saving shower nozzle hand-tight. Do not use pipe wrenches or another similar tool!
Before you fit the water-saving shower nozzle, make sure that the sealing ring and the insert are placed inside the housing. If they have fallen out, push the insert into the housing with the narrow end on which a silicone ring is attached first. Then insert the sealing ring.
- Unscrew the shower hose from the fitting.
- Screw the water-saving shower nozzle hand-tight onto the water outlet of the fitting.
- Screw the shower hose hand-tight onto the water-saving shower nozzle. Do not forget the sealing ring of the hose!
- In the case of a rainfall showerhead, the water-saving shower nozzle is fitted between the wall bracket and the showerhead.
HOW IT WORKS
When the water flows through the water-saving shower nozzle, the air is sucked
in through the side opening and swirls up the water. The swirled-up water is
then accelerated through a narrow part and conveyed on.
This ensures that the showering sensation is not diminished despite a lower
level of water consumption.
The biggest water saving is achieved with standard showerheads which consume
approx. 15 l per minute on average. If the water-saving shower nozzle is
combined with other water-saving or water-reducing products, the saving may be
lower. The general rule is: The higher the water pressure, the better the
showering sensation.
Notice: Some water may drip out of the side opening in the water-saving
shower nozzle.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the product does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify
the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below,
contact the customer service department.
The noise level is higher than normal when the water is flowing.
The intake of air may cause an increased level of noise. This is normal and
not a product defect.
The water flow is weak.
The showerhead or the pipe is furred up.
- Descale it with a standard descaling agent. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to do this. The water pressure of the supply pipe is too low.
- If you have particularly low water pressure in your home (e.g. in a high-rise building or if your home is a long way from a waterworks), the functionality of the product may be restricted. The higher the water pressure of the supply pipe, the better the result. Another product with a water-saving function is being used at the same time (e.g. a shower head on which the water jet can be adjusted). The water flow is being curtailed too much, especially if there is the low water pressure in the supply pipe.
- In this case, do not use another product with a water-saving function. The water flow has become weaker over time. The showerhead, the pipe, or the water-saving shower nozzle is furred up.
- Descale it with a standard descaling agent. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to do this.
