Only charge the batteries at an outside temperature between 10 and 40 degrees centigrade. Dispose of the set or parts in compliance with KCA regulations (small chemical waste) at specified waste materials collecting centres or return to your supplier.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  •  Switch On/Off: Switch up is On, switch down is Off. When switching on, the device is locked. Place the microphone at the height of the chest, not closer.
  • Unlock !!/Lock “”: Keep pushing LOCK for 5 seconds until the display is showing no Lock. The device is locked when the display is showing a Lock. Note: If no operation in 10 seconds after unlocking, the Rider/Instructor will turn to locked automatically.
  • Change Channel (figure on the RIGHT side): When the device is unlocked, push – or + to choose another channel. The display will show a channel number between 1 and 13. When the “Rider” and the “Instructor” are on the same channel, they will be working.
  • Operation manual for the Instructor (Transmitter): Input Gain Selection (figure on the left) When unlocked, push SET to choose Input Gain according to your input source. For example: choose 1-3 for microphone input, 3 will transmit a louder sound and is normally used the best.
  • Operation Manual for Rider (Receiver): Volume Control (loudness): When the receiver is ON and locked (“) use – or + to adjust volume from 0 until 15 on the right side in the display, 12 will be the best volume. • Squelch (to reduce surrounding noise): to reduce noise at different locations, you can adjust receiver squelch from 0 until Usually 3 or 4 is a good level. 0 means the receiver keeps receiving a signal at any location 9 means even slight noise will shut off the receiver. When the receiver is ON and unlocked (!) push SET button to adjust (0 tot 9). If two transmitters are working on the same channels at the same location, this function will automatically shut off the receivers. Then choose another channel.
  • Charging: Please use the original charger at the bottom of the device. When charging, the red light on the display is on. When charging has finished, the red light will be off. (after 3 until 4 hours). When the battery is completely empty, this will damage the battery! You can work with the battery for 14 hours, the best is that you charge the battery when you see one (of 3) block above on the right in the display.
  • Interference: If two transmitters are located in a very short distance, nearby channels might generate interference. This is independent of the brand of the transmitters. In this case, instead of using two close channels, for example channel 1 and channel 2, please use channels with more difference, for example channel 1 and channel 5 to eliminate the interference.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

Liquids can damage the parts. Liquids that penetrate into the parts can result in short-circuiting and defects of the parts. When cleaning the parts, please make sure that the parts are switched off and not connected to the charger/electrical supply.
Only use a soft and dry cloth to clean the parts. Leave the microphone plug in the transmitter and the ear plug in the receiver. This reduces the chance of breaking the wires and the wear and tear of the plugs.
In order to optimise the life of the built-in Lithium-ion battery, we advise the following:
Use:

  • Do not discharge completely, so do not wait until the Instructor/Rider is completely flat (because of in-depth discharge; full discharge can damage a lithium-ion battery)
  • Charge with the original charger; this takes about 3 hours for a lithium-ion battery. The transmitter/receiver is charged when the red LED in the screen disappears.

Storage:
When the set is not used for a longer period of time, the batteries can best be kept half charged
