What is Arduino®
Arduino® is an open-source prototyping platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino® boards are able to read inputs light-on sensor, a finger on a button or a Twitter message and turn it into an output activating of a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so, you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring) and the Arduino® software IDE (based on Processing). Additional shields/modules/components are required for reading a twitter message or publishing online. Surf to www.arduino.cc for more information
Product overview
The Whadda digital LED strip driver module is designed to make it easy to
drive and switch 12 V LED strips with 5 V devices such as Arduino® compatible
boards. The module features a step-up boost converter which is designed to
convert a 5 V input voltage to 12 V to drive the LED strip. The signal pin on
the module can be used to switch the converter on or off when applying a HIGH
or LOW input signal respectively.
Note that the module is not designed to work with PWM signals, the input
signal must be either a steady 5 V or GND.
Specifications:
Supply voltage: 5 V DC
Output voltage: 12 V DC
Output connector: 2-pin JST XH
Maximum input current: 1 A
Maximum output current: 200 mA
