Congratulations on becoming the proud owner of an IONIQ ONE Sprayer. Please read the operating instructions carefully before use and observe the safety instructions. Please keep the operating instructions in a safe place and enclose them with the product in case you ever want to pass it on to friends, family, or other people.

Explanation of the symbols used

This symbol indicates a potential danger to you or the appliance. Under this symbol, you will find important information on how to avoid injuries and damage to the appliance.
IP X5 Indicates that the appliance is protected against the ingress of water jets (e.g. tap). However, the appliance must not be immersed in liquids.
Read the operating instructions before using the appliance.

Safety information

Attention! Read all safety information, instructions and illustrations thoroughly. Failure to observe the following instructions may cause electric shock, fire, and/or severe injuries. Please keep the operating instructions in a safe place and enclose them with the product in case you ever pass it on.

• This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and over, as well as by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers it poses. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

• Pregnant women and persons with electrically operated medical devices (e.g. pacemakers, hearing aids, insulin pumps,…) carried in or on the body must not use or be sprayed with this appliance. A safety distance of approx. 2 m is recommended.

• Keep your mouth closed during use and avoid taking deep breaths. The mucous membranes could be irritated by the cosmetic product.

• Close your eyes while spraying near your face.

• IONIQ ONE is primarily designed for spraying your own body. Touch other people’s skin with your hand when you spray them. This prevents electrostatic charging.

• Only use original cartridges. Do not try to refill cartridges. The use of non-approved liquids can lead to technical problems or damage to health.

• The appliance contains a battery that cannot be replaced.

• Never charge the appliance if it is damaged (e.g. cracks in the housing).
  A damaged battery can explode or cause a fire.

• Do not charge the appliance near containers filled with water.

• Only use and store the appliance and cartridges at temperatures between 0 °C and 40 °C.

• Do not use the appliance near sources of ignition such as naked flames, burning cigarettes and hot surfaces. The sprayed liquid could ignite.

• Keep a distance of approx. 2 m from electrical devices during use to avoid disturbances caused by electrostatics. Do not use the appliance in airplanes or hospitals.

• Be careful not to spray any objects accidentally to avoid damage and soiling. If possible, keep a distance of approx. 2 m.

• Keep the appliance in a safe place, out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

• Switch off the appliance immediately if a malfunction occurs.

• The appliance must not be opened to carry out repairs. Contact customer services.

• Clean the nozzle field regularly. If the nozzles are clogged, liquid may leak from the appliance and cause malfunctions.

• Only clean the appliance when it is switched off and not charging. Do not immerse the appliance in water.

• Switch off the machine before cleaning a clogged nozzle field. Do not use sharp, metal objects for cleaning.

Product description

Area of application

IONIQ ONE was developed for the touch-free application of cosmetic care products to one’s own body. Facial applications are possible to a limited extent depending on the care product (observe the corresponding application instructions on the cartridge). The cartridge system with specially adapted care products offers a wide range of possibilities, such as sun protection and body care products, and is constantly being expanded to include further applications. IONIQ ONE is designed exclusively for private use.

Displays and controls

Bluetooth display
Flashes slowly while searching for a connection (max. 30 seconds).
Lights up constantly after a successful connection has been made.
Goes out when the connection has been lost.
Battery charge status
The faster the flashing, the lower the charge level (slow: < 5 minutes; fast: < 2 minutes).
Flashes slowly when charging, lights up constantly when fully charged.
Cartridge fill level
The faster the flashing, the lower the fill level (have a spare cartridge ready).
Also flashes when the cartridge is removed or incorrect.
IQ
Lights up constantly when the appliance is switched on.
Flashes in case of malfunctions.
ON/OFF switch
Turns the appliance on and starts searching for a connection.
Press and hold for more than 10 seconds to reset the sprayer.
Side spray buttons
Press both buttons with the appliance switched on to start spraying; during spraying, one button can be released again.
Press and hold both buttons and the ON/OFF switch at the same time to clean a clogged nozzle field with a concentrated jet.

When pressing and releasing the ON/OFF switch and the spray buttons, you can hear the pump pumping liquid out of or into the cartridge. These noises are normal and have no cause for concern.

Use

When using a USB mains adapter, only use an EN 60335-1 compliant USB-C charger with 5V === 0.5A. You can find suitable models on ioniqskin.com or in the IONIQ app.

The appliance should be fully charged before first use.

Slide the cover to the side. Plug the USB cable into the switched-off appliance and connect it to the power source.| Charging the IONIQ ONE. The charge level indicator flashes and lights up constantly when the battery is fully charged (approx. 5 hours when the sprayer is completely discharged).
Remove the USB cable and disconnect it from the power source. Close the cover.

Starting

Only use original cartridges. The use of non-approved liquids can lead to technical problems or damage to health.

Screw-in the cartridge until you feel it click into place.

Press the ON/OFF switch.
The icons light up and the search for the connection to the app starts.

Remove the cover of the nozzle field.

To start the job press both side buttons. For correct use, follow the instructions in the “Tips” chapter or get help in the app tutorial.

Changing the cartridge

Always switch off the appliance first and only then remove the cartridge so that the residual liquid from the appliance is pumped back into the cartridge.

Switch off the appliance and remove the cartridge.

Screw in the new cartridge until you feel it click into place and switch the appliance on again.

Always close the cartridge with the lid when it is not mounted in the sprayer. This, for example, prevents liquid from leaking out during transport.
When changing from the tanning cartridge to another care product, clean the nozzle field as described in the “Cleaning and care” chapter to remove all residues.

Tips

If possible, keep a distance of approx. 2 m from uninvolved persons, objects, and sensitive surfaces. This prevents soiling and possible damage. There is a risk of data loss with credit cards and electromagnetic storage media.

Do not rub the liquid after application. Rubbing destroys the even surface and impairs the protective function.

The skin and nozzle field should be dried before application. Wet skin or a wet nozzle field may cause an uneven application (“white spots”).

Move IONIQ ONE evenly over the whole body. The speed should be approx. 2-4 seconds for one forearm length, depending on the care product. Further information is available in the app.

Keep a distance of approx. 20 cm.

To check the right distance:

• Touch the body first with the top of the sprayer.
• Then turn the sprayer to the spraying position.

If the nozzle field is blocked, point the sprayer at the floor or into a container and hold down all three buttons simultaneously for several seconds. This removes the blockage with a concentrated jet of liquid.

In addition to the LED display, the sprayer also gives indications of vibrations. As positive feedback (e.g. successful Bluetooth connection), the sprayer vibrates twice and in case of errors (e.g. empty cartridge), three times.

Move the sprayer parallel to the body.

For best results, spray the arms from 2 opposite sides and the legs from all 4 sides.

Spray the chest, side of the torso, and abdomen in several parallel strokes.

Hold the sprayer over the shoulder and spray the upper back with a slight twist of the wrist. Then change hands and repeat the process on the other side.

Turn the sprayer 180° and spray the lower back up to the middle. Then change hands and repeat the process on the other side.

To spray the middle back, hold the sprayer from above as low as possible over the back. Fold the wrist upwards and bend the upper body slightly forwards.

The marked body parts are easily forgotten and should therefore be sprayed again specifically.

When changing the care product or before long periods of non-use, the sprayer should be cleaned thoroughly with the cleaning cartridge (accessory).

Help with problems

The appliance must not be opened to carry out repairs. Contact customer services.

IONIQ ONE does
not spray| • Battery empty, please charge.
• Cartridge empty ( flashes), please replace.
• Cartridge removed with sprayer switched on and changed to another type ( flashes), please insert original cartridge or the cartridge of the same type.
• Cartridge adapter missing (  and flashes), please insert (see “Cleaning and care” chapter) or order the spare part.
• Nozzle field clogged, please point sprayer to the ground or into a container and hold all three buttons simultaneously for several seconds to clear the blockage. If not successful, clean the nozzle field as described in the “Cleaning and care” chapter.
• Too close to the skin ( flashes), please maintain a distance of 20 cm
• IONIQ ONE defective (all indicators flashing continuously), please contact customer services.
Cartridge does not
hold properly| • Thread blocked, please clean.
The cartridge is not recognized| • Cartridge is not seated correctly, please screw in as far as it will go.
• No original cartridge or cartridge has been refilled ( flashes), please only use original IONIQ cartridges.
• Cartridge removed with sprayer switched on and changed to another type ( flashes), please insert original cartridge or cartridge of the same type.
• IONIQ ONE defective (all indicators flashing continuously), please contact customer services.
• Cartridge defective, use another cartridge.
Application uneven / does not cover fully| • Incorrect application (e.g. distance, speed, etc.), please observe the instructions in the “Tips” chapter.
• Even surface is destroyed, please do not rub liquid by hand after application.
• Nozzle field dirty, please clean nozzle field.
Application not
even (white spots
on the skin)| • Skin or nozzle field is too wet. Before re-applying, thoroughly dry the skin, nozzle field, and the area behind the nozzle field.
Nozzle field leaking| • Nozzle field is not seated correctly, please engage nozzle field completely.
• Nozzle field damaged, please order the spare part.
Connection via
Bluetooth failed| • Receiver/smartphone switched off, please switch on.
• Connection process not completed correctly, please follow the instructions in the IONIQ app carefully.
• IONIQ app not installed, please download the app.
IONIQ ONE heavily
soiled. Dirt/sand has settled under the keys.| • Clean the switched-off sprayer under running water. Press the buttons several times to flush out any foreign bodies that have entered. Allow drying completely before next use.
IONIQ ONE does not work properly or app displays incorrect information about the sprayer| • Press and hold the ON/OFF switch for more than 10 seconds to reset the sprayer.

Cleaning and care

Only clean the appliance when it is switched off and not charging. Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not use sharp, metal objects for cleaning.

First, switch off the appliance and then remove the cartridge.

Remove the nozzle field and clean thoroughly under running water with soap by pressing/rubbing.

If necessary, remove the cartridge adapter by turning it and clean it with water and mild soap.

Clean the surface of the IONIQ One with a damp cloth if necessary (for heavy soiling, see “Help with problems”).

Allow all parts of the IONIQ ONE to dry completely before reassembling. Replace the cartridge adapter and nozzle field. Press each nozzle down individually so that the nozzle array is fully engaged and sits completely flush on the sprayer.

Disposal

At the end of its service life, the appliance, including accessories and packaging, must be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Separate packaging materials by type and put them in the recyclables collection.
Old appliances and rechargeable batteries/batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. The appliance contains a built-in battery that must be
removed and disposed of separately as described in the next chapter. Support environmental protection by taking the appliance and the battery to a local disposal point or asking at a specialist shop. Used cartridges are recyclable and can be easily disposed of in a separate collection for used packaging. Please empty cartridges as much as possible before disposal.

Battery removal for disposal

Remove the metal ring at the end of the sprayer with a flat-blade screwdriver and a hammer (fix the sprayer in place).

Prise open the housing with a wide flat-blade screwdriver on the side opposite the battery.

Disassemble the housing and remove the battery.

Information about FCC

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or  television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help

Warranty

The warranty is 2 years, starting from the date of sale (invoice).
This warranty is extended by a further 12 months if the appliance is registered within 4 weeks of the purchase using the IONIQ app*. Registration is only possible if the purchaser agrees to the storage of the data that has to be entered during the registration process. The warranty includes and is limited to the free repair of defects that are demonstrably caused by the use of unsuitable materials in the product’s manufacture or by assembly errors, or the free replacement of the faulty components. Use or commissioning, as well as assembly or repairs carried out independently, which are not specified in our operating instructions, exclude any warranty service. Parts subject to wear are also excluded from the warranty.
The warranty service excludes commercial use. We expressly reserve the right to provide the warranty. The warranty, along with your statutory warranty rights, will expire if the appliance has been opened by persons other than IONIQ service personnel. Transport damage, maintenance work, and damage or defects caused by inadequate maintenance work are not covered by the warranty. Proof of purchase of the device must be provided when making a claim under the warranty by presenting the original receipt. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any personal injury, property damage, or consequential damage, in particular, if the appliance has been used for purposes other than those specified in the operating instructions, has not been commissioned or repaired in accordance with our operating instructions or repairs have been carried out independently by a non-expert. We reserve the right to carry out repairs or maintenance work at the factory that goes beyond the scope of these operating instructions. For claims under warranty or repairs, please contact your sales outlet.
