Registering Your Label Printer
Visit www.dymo.com/register to register
your label printer online. During the registration process, you will need the
serial number, which is located inside the label compartment cover.
Connecting the power
To charge the battery the first time you use the printer, insert the battery and plug in the power adapter. Charging the battery the first time takes approximately 8 hours. Recharging the battery will take approximately 3.5 hours.
To insert the battery

- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the battery into the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Make sure to read the LiPO Safety Precautions found on page 3.
The label printer can operate using the rechargeable battery or the AC power adapter.
Inserting the label cartridge
Your printer uses DYMO IND label cartridges. Visit www.dymo.com for information about purchasing additional label cartridges.
To insert the label cartridge

Lift the label cartridge cover to open the label compartment.

Make sure the label and ribbon are taut across the mouth of the cartridge and that the label passes between the guideposts. If necessary, turn the spool clockwise to tighten the ribbon.

Insert the cartridge and press gently until the cartridge is eased into place.

Make sure the two blue clips lock the cartridge in place.
Refer to the label on the cartridge. -
Close the label cartridge cover.
To remove the label cartridge, press the eject button. The label cartridge is automatically lifted for easy removal.
Printing your first label with the printer
The first time you turn on the printer, you are asked to select your language and units of measure. You are also asked to select the width of the tape cartridge currently inserted in the printer.
To print your first label
- Press to turn on the power.
- Enter some text for your label using the alphanumeric keys.
- Press PRINT.
- Press CUT and remove the label.
- Remove the backing from the label to expose the adhesive, and then attach the label.
Using the Label Printer with Your Computer
Your label printer can be used as a standalone label printer or you can print
labels directly from your computer using the latest version of DYMO ID
software.

support.dymo.com.
Rechargeable Battery Safety Precautions
Battery type: LiPolymer 7.4V 1400mAh 10.36Wh
Inaccurate handling of a lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery may cause
leakage, heat, smoke, an explosion, or fire. This could cause deterioration of
performance or failure.
This may also damage the protection device installed in the battery. This
could damage equipment or injure users. Thoroughly follow the instructions
below.
Danger
- Use the battery only in the Rhino 6000+ label printer.
- The battery can only be charged while inserted in the label printer using the charging adapter provided (9VDC/2A).
- Do not connect directly to an electric outlet or cigarette lighter charger.
- Do not store battery close to fire or inside the car where the temperature may be over 60°C.
Warning
- Stop charging the battery if charging is not completed within 3.5 hours.
Caution
- Do not use the label printer or battery in a place that generates static electricity.
- Use the label printer only at room temperature.
- Battery can only be charged within +10°C to 35°C temperature range.
- The battery can only be discharged within -10°C to 60°C temperature range.
- Use only an authentic DYMO battery.

1-Year Warranty for Your DYMO Product
Your electronic DYMO product is sold with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. DYMO will repair or replace your product free of charge on the following conditions:
- Products returned under this warranty must be accompanied by a description of the defect together with a copy of the product’s proof of purchase and your full contact and delivery details: name, telephone, complete address – street, house number, postal code, city, country.
- Products returned to DYMO must be adequately packaged. DYMO will accept no liability for goods lost or damaged in transit from the customer.
- Products must have been used strictly in accordance with operating instructions supplied. DYMO will have no liability for defects caused by accident, misuse, alteration or neglect.
- DYMO accepts no liability for any consequential loss, damage, or expense of any kind resulting from the machines or accessories or the use thereof, save that liability for death or bodily injury caused by such products is not excluded.
- DYMO label printers are designed for use only with DYMO-branded labels. This warranty does not cover any malfunction or damage caused by the use of third-party labels.
- This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Special Provisions for Australia
The following provisions shall apply in addition to the above warranty if the
sale of the DYMO product occurred in Australia:
- Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
- You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
- Any repair or replacement will be at DYMO’s expense and free of charge to you.
