- Make sure the cooler is switched off before adding water to the tank.
- When adding water from the superior water tank, please pay attention to check the water level of the inferior water tank, as the water filled from top water tank will flow to the bottom water tank.
- Do not fill water above the ‘MAX’ line on the front of the water tank.
Superior water tank:
- Open the top cover water tank.
- Fill in clean, cold water into the water tank.
- The water will flow directly to the bottom water tank.

Functions
The new evaporative air cooler SY-CL420 integrates better cooling effect as it pumps the water and makes it flow from the inferior water tank to the top water tank, hence creating a better cooling effect. It is recommended to place the 2 ice boxes on the superior water tank so when the water runs from down to up and flows back it can generate colder air.
-
Cooling
This evaporative air cooler is built to maximize energy efficiency.
Warm air is drawn into the cooler through a dust and odor-reducing filter which enters the honeycomb cooling filter. Water is then pumped from the tank, pours over the honeycomb filter. As the warm air passes through the filter, the water absorbs the heat naturally, cooling and humidifying the air. A fan propels the cooled air out into the room. This no-compressor system cools naturally and efficiently.
The recommended maximum relative humidity level is 60% or less, which allows a noticeable temperature decrease. The temperature decrease will be greater in drier climates because higher evaporation occurs when the humidity is low. The evaporative air cooler should not be used in closed spaces. The room should have doors and windows opened to allow free air flow. The evaporative air cooler works best when placed near an open window, so that outside air is drawn into the evaporative air cooler, the air circulates in the room and then exits via the door.
-
Humidifier
The evaporative air cooler can also be used to humidify dry air during cool weather. To use the humidification function, the
windows and doors should be closed to allow the humidified air to accumulate. -
Air purifier
The filter removes tiny dust particles and cigarette smoke and constantly filters the air to provide a cleaner and healthier environment. -
Oscillation (Swing)
The louvers automatically swing from left to right and back and the vertical wind direction can be set manually. -
Speed settings
Speed between three fan speeds of 8.8m/s, 7.8m/s and 6.8m/s -
Energy saving
This product uses water as its media and physical ways to cool down the temperature. The water tank capacity lasts a long time and the power consumption is only 65W (only 5% compared to an air-conditioner) -
Cleaning
The water tank can be easily pulled out and cleaned with a damp cloth.
Cleaning and maintenance
Caution:
- Always switch off and unplug the unit before removing the filters or performing any cleaning.
- Do not use harsh detergents, chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the surface finish of the plastic components.
