IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Read this Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance, and keep the instructions including the warranty, receipt, and if possible the box with inner packaging.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before operating.
- Do not touch hot surfaces – Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cords, plugs or appliances in water or any other liquid.
- Do not leave any appliance unattended while it is operating.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
- Allow to cool before putting on or taking off any parts.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact with any hot surfaces.
- Do not pull plug out by the cord.
- Bread carriage lever must be in the ‘UP’ position before attaching or disconnecting the plug from wall outlet.
- If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use this product for anything other than intended use.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- This product is intended for household use only.
- No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
- Use the toaster without bread for the first time. There will be some smoke at first, this is normal.
- The toaster reaches very high temperatures, particularly in the area of the openings for the bread.
- Bread may burn. Therefore this toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials.
- Do not place the cable or any other object over the bread openings whilst the toaster is in operation.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food while the toaster is in operation.
- Do not insert metal objects or other utensils into the toaster, as this will cause an electric shock or cause a fire.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by EN means of an external timer or separate remotecontrol system.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.

FEATURES OF YOUR TOASTER

Stop button
Pressing this button will stop the toasting cycle. The bread carriage will be raised. -
Reheat button
This button is specially designed to reheat toasted bread. Press this button once to activate this function and the indicator will light. -
Defrost button This button is suitable for defrosting frozen bread. Press this button once to activate this function and the indicator will light.

The removable crumb tray Pulls out from underneath your toaster for easy removal of crumbs.
USING YOUR TOASTER
- Put the plug into the socket and turn on the toaster using the bread carriage lever. Note: When using the appliance for the first time, it will emit some smoke. This is normal and it will stop by itself after a few minutes.
- Insert a slice of bread into the top slot for toasting.
- Press the carriage lever down gently until it latches.
- Select the desired browning level from 1-to 6. Toasting will begin. Experiment to find the perfect toasting time. The optimal time varies depending on the freshness of the bread and what the bread consists of.
WARNING: Do not use a knife, fork, or another utensil to remove the bread
from the toaster or to clean the toaster. If the bread becomes lodged in the
toaster, unplug the appliance before attempting to remove it.
WARNING: The top of the appliance becomes hot because metal conducts heat
so well. Therefore do not touch the outside of the toaster during use and keep
well out of reach of children.
CARE AND CLEANING
Always turn the power OFF and remove the plug from the power outlet after use
and before cleaning your toaster.
TO CLEAN THE EXTERIOR
Wipe the exterior with a slightly dampened cloth and polish with a soft dry
cloth. Do not use metal scourers or abrasives as this may scratch the exterior
surface.
REMOVABLE CRUMB TRAY
To remove the crumbs, press the tray and it will slide out, empty, and
replaced it in the toaster. Important: Clean the crumb tray regularly. Do not
allow crumbs to accumulate, as they may cause a potential fire hazard.
TO CLEAN THE TOASTER INTERIOR
Clean inside the toaster regularly. To do this, unplug the appliance, turn it
upside down over the sink, and gently shake all the crumbs out.
GUARANTEE
Wilfa issues a 5 year guarantee on this product from the day of purchase. The
guarantee covers production failure or defects that arise during the guarantee
period. Your purchase receipt works as proof towards retailer if claiming your
guarantee.
The guarantee is valid only for products that are bought and used in private
households. The guarantee is not valid if the product is used commercially.
The guarantee is not valid if the product is misused, used by negligence, if
not following instructions given by Wilfa, if modified or if unauthorized
reparation is done. The guarantee is also not valid for normal wear of the
product, misuse, lack of maintenance, use of wrong electrical voltage or:
