ZONE SPEAKER
USER MANUAL
Thank you and congratulations for becoming a ZONE owner. In addition to
offering a high-quality listening experience, ZONE also offers unique
experiences both indoors and out.
ZONE is a versatile entertainment device that allows you to experience
enjoyable and cozy moments alone or share them with your friends and family.
ZONE provides almost unlimited options for wonderful experiences and enjoyable
moments together, as well as relaxing in your own personal space.
While we hope you will make the most of your ZONE, we also hope you will be
considerate of others while listening to music. Playing music too loud may
disturb others or disrupt the peace while out in nature.
Typically, when designing a speaker, vibrations in the body of the speaker are
minimized so that sound is emitted only by the speaker itself. ZONE sets
itself apart from other speakers with its patented frame designed to direct
low and mid frequencies into the surface it is placed on. This allows the
frame and the surface to bring an entirely new dimension to the music, letting
the listener literally feel it. This turns the surface, be it a sauna bench, a
jetty or anything else, into a speaker.
ZONE uses its environment to enhance its sound reproduction. ZONE is easy to
move around, so we recommend trying it in different locations, different areas
in your listening space and on different surfaces. If, for example, you keep
your ZONE on a wooden surface, its bass tones will be amplified. A hard glass
surface, on the other hand, will amplify mid-frequencies. You can find the
best possible sound reproduction in any environment you may be in by
experimenting with different surfaces and ZONE’s various audio settings.
ZONE is a Finnish invention and is patented in many different countries. Its
appearance and model are also designed in Finland. ZONE has been awarded the
Design From Finland mark.
Ecology has always been an important factor in ZONE’s design, and no
environmentally harmful materials have been used in its manufacture.
You can register as a ZONE user at
www.zonespeaker.fi and opt-in to receive related
news, offers, and other notifications.
PLEASE NOTE
ZONE is extremely safe to use, but please read the safety regulations below carefully before using the device. By doing so, you also ensure thebest and longest user experience with your ZONE.
- Do not try to dismantle your ZONE!
- Do not pour hot water in the water reservoir of your ZONE!
- Do not place your ZONE in a hot environment without cool water in its water reservoir!
- Do not place your ZONE in a refrigerator or freezer!
- Do not place your ZONE in an oven or near an open flame or barbecue grill!
- Do not immerse your ZONE in the water!
- Do not place your ZONE in a freezing environment without the power is on!
- Be careful not to drop your ZONE!
- Do not detach the rubber protective cover at the back of the device!
ZONE has an IPX4 water resistance rating and is 100% water-tight when used correctly. Though ZONE is water-resistant, please do not submerge it in water, as its water-tight drivers may still be damaged by the pressure of the water. Please remember to always carefully close the rubber protective cover at the back of your ZONE to prevent water from damaging the device’s electronics.
Though ZONE is resistant to cold, do not place it in a refrigerator or
freezer. Further, do not take your ZONE outside in freezing temperatures
without being powered on.
Do not place your ZONE close to an open flame or barbecue grill. Also, take
care if your ZONE is close to a candle or other burning objects.
Always use cool water when filling your ZONE’s water reservoir. Never use hot
water to fill your ZONE’s water reservoir, as this may damage the device.
ZONE can be used in the sauna or in other hot environments. However, ZONE
should never be left unsupervised on the sauna bench or in any other hot
environment. ZONE should also never be placed in a sauna or other hot
environment without cool water in its water reservoir, as the water reduces
the heating of the device. If you place your ZONE in the sauna, please keep it
on the lower bench where the temperature is not as high as on the upper
benches.
Do not toss your ZONE or otherwise handle it roughly. Please handle your ZONE
with care, as you would any other valuable item. Please remember that ZONE is
an electrical device and should be treated with the same caution as other
electrical devices. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify your ZONE, as we
will no longer be able to guarantee safety of operation.
