VOLK Pictor Plus Fundus Portable Cameras

INSTALLATION  INSTRUCTION

THIS GUIDE APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING DEVICES ONLY VOLK PORTABLE CAMERAS

STORAGE

Ensure devices have been cleaned, disinfected (if applicable), and dried before storage.
Store devices in a clean, dry, room-temperature environment in their appropriate, supplied case.

CLEANING

CLEANING STEPS

Volk Pictor Cameras Handset, Module, Cradle

  1. Shut down the handset and remove the cradle from the main power source.
  2. Disinfect the handset housing and cradle with an alcohol wipe (70% alcohol). Avoid contact with the system connectors.
  3. Clean the optical surfaces with a soft, lint-free cotton cloth

Silicone Eye cup

  1. Disinfect the eye cup using an alcohol wipe (70% alcohol), or soak the eye cup in glutaraldehyde, hydrogen peroxide, or peracetic acid solution.
  2. Rinse with an eye cup under running water.
  3. Dry the eye cup using a clean cloth before use.

NOTES

  • The Pictor Plus and Pictor Prestige are not meant to be sterilized.
  • The eye cup should be disinfected before each use with a new patient.
  • Do not immerse the handset, module, or cradle in any fluids.

iN view

  1. Remove the camera device from the external lens attachment.

  2. Turn off the camera device (press and hold the Sleep/Wake button, and then slide the onscreen slider).

  3. Clean the external surface with a clean, soft, non-shedding cotton cloth dampened with detergent/water solution
    (2% detergent by volume) or an alcohol wipe (70% alcohol). Avoid touching the electrical connectors on the camera.

  4. The primary imaging lens can be cleaned using Volk Precision Optical Lens Cleaner or a Volk Optical LensPen.

  5. Clean the electronic camera device using a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture within the connection openings.

NOTES

  • The Volk iN view is not meant to be sterilized.
  • Do not immerse the device in any fluids.

VistaView

  1. Ensure the camera is turned off and disconnected from any external power sources.
  2. Clean the external surface with a clean, soft, non-shedding cotton cloth dampened with a detergent/water solution (2% detergent by volume). Do not spray the device with water/detergent solution to avoid fluids entering the device. Avoid touching the electrical connectors and optical lenses.
  3. The primary imaging lens can be cleaned using Volk Precision Optical Lens Cleaner.
  4. Clean the eye cup using a non-shedding cotton cloth dampened with a 70% ethanol solution.

NOTES

  • The Volk VistaView is not meant to be sterilized.
  • The eye cup should be disinfected before each use with a new patient.
  • Do not immerse the camera in any fluids.

Wiping the optical surfaces with a microfiber cloth will cause lens damage. Be sure to use only a soft, lint-free cotton cloth.
