Please contact support@waylens.com for assistance with finding an approved dealer in your area if you are unsure of where to locate one yourself. -
Connect the red ACC wire to a switched fuse:
a. A switched fuse is used to monitor the accessory power such as cigarette lighter, car radio, etc. They will be switched off after you turn off the car. Identify them by referring to the vehicle user manual or consulting a qualified professional.
b. Verify the fuse is a switched fuse by using a multimeter to track voltage within the circuit across ignitions ON and OFF positions.
c. If confirmed as a switched power fuse, remove the identified switched fuse from the fuse panel. Use the fuse puller tool is available.
d. Remove the sleeve from the end of the red ACC wire, and wrap the wire around one of the blades of the switched fuse.
e. Reinsert the fuse back into the fuse panel carefully and firmly to ensure the wire remains secured to the fuse blade.
4. Connect the yellow BATT+ wire to a constant power fuse
An a. The constant power fuses are used to monitor constant power within a vehicle. They will not be switched off after you turn off the car. Identify them by referring to the vehicle manual or consulting a professional.
b. Verify the fuse is a constant fuse by a multimeter to track voltage within the circuit across ignitions ON and OFF positions. -
c. If confirmed as a constant power fuse, remove the identified constant fuse from the fuse panel. Use the fuse puller tool is available.

Diagnostic with Waylens Fleet App
Waylens Fleet App has the diagnostic feature to ensure the power cord connection is right.
- Open the Waylens Fleet App and follow the prompts to connect to the Secure4K camera.
- If can’t find the Secure4K WiFi network, which normally is a network with the name Waylens-xxxxx (DIRECT-Waylens-xxxxx if WiFi Direct is enabled), press Waylens Button to wake up the WiFi.
- Locate the diagnostic feature on the profile page(Skip Login) or Maintenance(Maintainer Login).
- After the diagnostic, view the live preview of the camera to assist with the placement on the windshield.
Install the Mount Plate on the Windshield
SAFETY WARNING: Do not place the Secure4K in an area on the windshield
where the product interferes with the driver’s field of vision or other in-
vehicle sensors. The Secure4K should be mounted at the center top of the front
windshield, optimizing visibility inside and outside the vehicle.
NOTE: Do not place the camera mount too low on the windshield where
visibility may be blocked by the vehicle itself, such as wiper blades or
raised hood structures.
-
Without removing the Mount Plate adhesive cover plastic, position the Mount with Placement Guide against the top center of your windshield and dashboard.
-
Verify placement on the windshield, then fold placement guide back away from glass to remove the plastic cover for the adhesive
-
Firmly press the Mount Plate to the windshield glass and hold for 10 seconds.
-
Remove the Placement Guide, leaving the Mount Plate affixed to the windshield.0
Please be aware that certain films on the windshield glass can affect the night vision quality.
Attach the Camera and Dock to the Mount Plate
- With the Mount Plate attached to the windshield and the power cord connected to the Secure4K, position the Secure4K on the left side of the Mount Plate. Next, ensure the Mount Plate locking tabs are aligned with their fittings on the camera Dock.
- Slide the camera right to secure it firmly onto the Mount Plate.
Please ensure the Secure4K is installed properly and firmly attached to the windshield prior to operating the vehicle. Be sure to make any adjustments to the angle or position of the Secure4K prior to operating the vehicle.
Adjust Secure4K angle
- Use a coin to loosen the Dock hinge by turning the adjustment slot counter-clockwise.
- For optimal vision in and around your vehicle, adjust the position of the camera to parallel with the road.
- Tighten the Dock into place by turning the adjustment slot clockwise with a coin.
Install and Calibrate the DMS camera
The DMS camera calibration process is to calibrate the DMS camera so that the
DMS camera can detect the driver’s face and sightline so that the DMS camera
can better detect and upload DMS events.
To calibrate the DMS camera, Waylens Fleet App should be used.
- Install the DMS camera in the recommended position as the picture shows.
- Make sure that the DMS camera is upright.
- Input the information of the vehicle where the camera was installed.
- Adjust the camera position. There is a mask on the view of the DMS camera. The installer should keep adjusting the camera position to make the driver’s image fit in the mask. When the mask turned into green, the position of the DMS camera can be regarded as correct.
- Let the driver maintain the driving position and look forward, tap “Calib and Look Forward”. Wait for 3 seconds until “Calibration is done” is heard from the camera.
- Install and calibrate the DMS module
To install the DMS module, first, lose the Camera Mount Screw, and make the Remote Camera Cable Socket appear.
Insert the DMS cable plug into the Socket, and ensure the direction is right. Put the cable into the Cable Holder to release the stress on the Cable socket/plug.
Insert and format the microSD card
To prolong the usage, the new microSD card will be automatically formatted
when the first time it was inserted into Secure4K.
Do not remove the microSD card while the Secure4K is recording (the status LED
is illuminated red).
Waylens recommends using a high endurance microSD card (class 10 or higher MLC
microSD card 32-256GB) designed for continuous recording situations. While
other cards will work with the Secure4K, they are much more prone to card
errors and failures.
Some Secure4K dock has an SD card cover to prevent unauthorized access to the
microSD card. In that case please first lose the screw and the camera body.
You’re all set!
Removing the Secure4K
- Stop the Secure4K if it’s recording by pressing Waylen’s Button on the Dock or turning monitoring off by fleet managers via API.
- Slide the Secure4K Dock to the left and carefully pull the camera away from the Mount Plate once you feel it release from the locking tabs.
- Remove the power connection from the rear of the camera.
Secure4K SIM Card
Secure4K has a pre-installed SIM card. Please do not remove the pre-installed
SIM card.
If finding that the SIM card is not activated, please contact the fleet
manager to activate the SIM card.
