How to Use
-
Get Ready
Section hair and comb it smooth. Roll hair as usual, in the direction of the desired style. Secure each roller with the correct size clip. FOR CURLS: Start end of hair on the roller and continue to wind toward the roots. FOR MORE VOLUME: Start rolling hair at the roots; and then wrap the end of hair around the roller. -
Get Set
Once the entire head is set, wait until rollers are cool, then unwind. Start with the rollers you placed in first. The time the roller is left in the hair regulates the curl size: the longer the time, the tighter the curl and the longer the curl will last. Unplug the unit. Rollers will remain to curl active for ten minutes. -
Go!
To release the secured roller, remove each clip and roller gently. Unwind, never pull. Place the roller back on the correct post. Let each new curl spring back into position and cool for a moment. Then brush out your hair and style. Spritz hair for extra hold.
Usage Tips
Long and Wavy
For long, voluminous, smooth waves, use the medium or large rollers. Roll the
top, front layer of hair back to your crown, using one roller. Next, use three
other medium or large rollers to roll the remaining hair in three equal
sections on the back and sides of the head. Roll the hair under, up the nape
of the neck. Leave rollers in place for about five to ten minutes. Unwind,
don’t pull, the rollers out in the order you put them in and let the curl cool
for a minute to set. Lean forward and brush your hair through. Toss head back
and smooth, brushing top to one side and turning ends under.
Short and Chic
Use two or three of the small-sized rollers to roll the top, front layer of
your hair back to the crown. Then randomly, place the remaining small or
medium-sizedb rollers around the back and sides of the head, rolling all the
curlers under. Leave rollers in place for approximately ten minutes. Unroll
curlers in the order that you put them in, let the curl cool for a minute to
“set” and then use your fingers to separate and shape. Spritz hair for extra
hold.
The Flipped Bob
Use a medium or large-sized roller on a large section of the hair on your
crown to give height. Roll the hair back and under to the crown. Next, take
large sections all around the sides of your head, and roll them up so the hair
will flip out. You should roll curlers up to the level of the top of your ear.
Leave rollers in place for approximately ten minutes. Unroll curlers in the
order that you put them in, let the curl cool for a minute to set. Next, brush
your hair out, using your hand to shape the flip outward. Spritz for extra
hold.
Quick Touch-Ups – To add some fullness before an evening out, here are
some tips:
Short Hair: Use a few small-sized rollers in the front section of hair,
and mist with hairspray. Remove after just 30 seconds to add fullness. Let
cool, and separate curls with
a finger.
Medium Hair: Use several medium-sized rollers to add more flips to your
bob, rolling the ends of the hair so hair flips out. Mist with hairspray, and
remove after about 1 minute. remove rollers, let cool, and brush hair to
smooth.
Long Hair: Use several large-sized rollers to curl ends under. Remove
after 1 minute, let cool, and brush through.
Operating and Maintenance
Operating Instructions
- This appliance is designed to work on ordinary household current only (120VAC, 60Hz). It is not intended for commercial use.
- Place the unit on a hard, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized outlet. Never try to defeat this safety feature.
- Plug the cord into the outlet to activate the heat-up process. A red indicator light at the front of the unit will glow when the unit is on. Allow the rollers to heat up with the lid closed. Refer to the How to Use section of these instructions for heat-up times.
- When finished applying rollers in the hair, unplug the unit from the outlet and allow it to cool down before moving or storing away.
- Avoid damage or loss of rollers by placing them back into the post holes of the unit after use.
Maintenance Instructions
- Clean unit with damp cloth only. No other maintenance is required.
- Rollers may be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent or soap.
- Store appliances and cords where they will not be damaged.
- Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
- Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
Storage
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool, and store it out of reach
of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance.
This will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break, thus voiding the
warranty. Handle cord carefully for long life, and avoid jerking, twisting,
or straining it, especially at plug connections.
