This video is a step-by-step process on how to install the Razer Kunai Chroma
Case Fans to your PC.
To do this, you may need a Phillips-head screwdriver. Let’s get started.
Before installing the fans, note that the side with the Three-Headed Snake
logo is the side that draws air in. Keep this in mind when deciding on the
orientation of the fans in your PC Case.
Out of the box, the Razer Kunai Chroma Case Fans come with four regular
Phillips-head screws and four anti-vibration rubber screws.
To mount the fans using the regular Phillips-head screws, simply line up the
fans with the case’s mounting holes and screw them in from the outside of the
case.
If you want to reduce vibration and noise levels in your system, you can use
rubber anti-vibration screws. Simply take one of the rubber screws, insert
them into the fan’s screw holes and pull through. Once all rubber screws are
installed, line the fans up with the mounting holes of the case and pull the
rubber screws out until the head is securely fastened outside of the case.
With the fans installed, it’s time to connect the fans to your motherboard.
Connect the Razer Kunai Chroma Case fan to your motherboard’s system fan
header. While the Razer Kunai’s connector is designed to fit 4-pin headers, it
will still work with 3-pin headers.
Note that plugging the Razer Kunai Case Fans’ 4-pin connector in to a 3-pin
header means the fans will not have any speed control. Instead, the fans will
spin constantly at max speed. To make the fans light up, connect its 3-pin
female connector to one of your motherboard’s RGB headers. Some motherboard
manufacturers will include software that will allow you to set lighting
effects. Refer to your motherboard manual for more details. However, if want
to take advantage of Razer Chroma and create your own lighting effects with
Razer Synapse 3, you’ll want to connect the Razer Kunai Chroma Case fans to
the Razer Addressable RGB Controller. See the link in the description for more
details on How to set up your Razer Addressable RGB Controller.
There you have it, you’ve successfully installed the Razer Kunai Chroma Case
Fans to your PC Case.
