IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES

  1.  Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make sure the voltage of your appliance indicated on the rating plate (adaptor) corresponds to the local voltage.
  2.  Do not move or unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
  3.  In order to disconnect the device power supply, pull on the plug, NOT the cable.
  4. Do not insert any objects into the device openings as they could come into contact with live electrical components or cause a short circuit and there would be a risk of electrocution or fire.
  5. Do not subject it to strong impacts and do not throw it.
  6. Do not drop, short-circuit, modify, disassemble or puncture it.
  7. Unplug the device from the wall and hire a qualified professional to carry out the repair in the following cases:
    •  If the power cord or plug becomes damaged.
    •  If the device is not functioning properly.
  8. If the device has fallen or suffered any damage and no longer functions as before.  All repairs should be done by a qualified technician.
  9. Keep it away from heat sources, direct sunlight, humidity, water or other liquids.
  10. Do not operate it under high temperature.
  11. Do not immerse in water.
  12. It is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
  13. Remove the batteries if you plan not to use the device during a long period.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DISPLAY

BATTERY INSTALLATION

  1.  Remove the battery compartment cover.
  2. Insert two AA batteries into battery compartment while observing the correct polarity.
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover on the unit.
    Note:
    After inserting the batteries, press SNOOZE/ LIGHT to activate the backlight. It remains on for about 10 seconds and turns off, the screen remains then dark all the time with the time, icons and text in grey colour. Press SNOOZE/ LIGHT to see the time.

OPERATION

Mode function
In normal time display mode, press MODE to toggle between the different modes: Normal time ➔ I Alarm I ➔ I Wake up radio

Time setting
The setting order is as below:

In normal time display mode:

  1.  Press and hold SET button till you hear a beep. The hour digit will then flash.

  2. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease the hour digit.
    Note:

  3. If no button is pressed for one minute, the device will save the existing setting and go back to normal time.

  4. Press SET to confirm and switch to minute setting. The minute digit will flash. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.

  5. Press SET to confirm and switch to the hour format setting. The hour format will flash. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.

  6. Press SET to confirm and switch to the year setting. The year will flash. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.

  7. Press SET to confirm and switch to the month setting. The month will flash. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.

  8. Press SET to confirm and switch to the date setting. The date will flash. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.
    Note:
    The weekday is automatically set after all setting such as the year, month and date are done.

  9. Press SET to confirm and switch to the language of the day setting. The language will flash. Press UP or DOWN to adjust. (See the table for the abbreviations of the language and weekdays)

  10. Press SET to confirm all the settings.

Alarm setting

In normal time display mode:

  1.  Press MODE button once to enter the alarm mode. “AL” displays at the top right corner.

  2. Press UP button to activate the alarm function. The alarm icon  displays.
    Note:

  3. To deactivate, press the icon again. The icon disappears.

  4.  To enter alarm setting mode, hold and press SET button till the hour digit flashes. Press UP or DOWN to increase or decrease.
    Note:
    If no button is pressed for one minute, the device will save the existing setting and go back to normal time.

  5.  Press SET to confirm.
    When the alarm goes off, it sounds at volume level 2. Then it gradually increases till it has reached 12, stops increasing and remains at volume 12.

Snooze activation
When the alarm goes off, press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate snooze function. Snooze icon  displays. The alarm will sound 5 minutes later.
To turn off Snooze function, press any other button except for SNOOZE/ LIGHT.

To turn off the alarm
When the alarm goes off, press any other button except for SNOOZE/ LIGHT button to deactivate snooze function. Snooze icon zZ disappears.

FM RADIO FUNCTION
Manual tune
In normal time display mode:

  1.  Press the’ RADIO ON/OFF’ button to turn on the radio.
  2.  Press ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ button. The radio automatically starts searching for a frequency, stops when one is found, tunes to it and begin to broadcast the current station programme.
  3.  Press ‘VOL-‘or ‘VOL+’ to adjust the volume (from 0-15).
  4.  Press ‘RADIO ON/OFF’ once to turn off the radio and turn back to normal time display mode.

Memorization of radio stations
Your radio can memorize up to 30 radio stations.

  1.  Press RADIO ON/OFF button to turn on the radio if it is not on.
  2.  Press UP and DOWN to automatically search for a frequency. When a signal is found, the radio stops searching and broadcast the current programme.
  3.  Press and hold ‘SET’ button till the storage number : 01 will flash at the right down corner.
  4.  Press ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ button to select the storage number on which you want to save the radio station.
  5. Press ‘SET’ to confirm.
  6. Repeat steps from 2 to 5 to save other radio stations.

Listening to the memorized radio stations

  1.  If the radio is not on, press RADIO ON/OFF button to turn it on.
  2. Press SET button once to access the storage list.
  3. Press UP or DOWN to select the desired storage number alloted to your favourite station.

Radio Sleep

  1.  If the radio is not on, press RADIO ON/OFF button to turn it on.
  2. To enter sleep mode, press and hold SNOOZE LIGHT button till « SLP » displays.
  3. Press UP or DOWN button to choose the sleep time. The setting order is 00 ➔ 5 ➔ 10 ➔ 15
  4. After selection, do not press any button and wait for the display of the radio station frequency and the icon  The radio sleep mode is then activated.
  5.  Press and hold SNOOZE LIGHT to display the remaining time before the radio is off.

Radio Wake Up
Selecting the radio frequency for the alarm
Before setting the time for this function, proceed as below:

  1.  Press RADIO ON/OFF button to turn on the radio if it is not on.
  2. Choose the frequency either by choosing a radio station from the storage list (See section: “Memorization of radio station”) or manual tune (see “Manual tune”).
  3. Press and hold MODE till ) displays and the frequency flashes.
  4. Press MODE again to confirm.
    Note:
    When the alarm goes off, the selected frequency will be broadcasting.

Radio wake up setting

  1.  Press MODE button twice to enter RADIO WAKE UP mode. The inscription RDO and a frequency of radio station display.
  2.  To enter radio wake up setting mode, press and hold SET button till the hour digit, at the down-right corner, flashes. Press UP or DOWN button to adjust.
  3.  Press SET to confirm and switch to minute setting. Press UP or DOWN button to adjust.
  4.  Press SET to confirm.
  5.  Press MODE once to go back to normal time display.

THERMOMETER, HYGROMETER & WEATHER STATION

The temperature and humidity are measured every minute.
Temperature display format
In normal time display, press UP to switch °Cl°F.

Temperature

  • Range: 0°c ~ 50°C
  • Accuracy : ±1.5°C
  • If the temperature is out of range, « LL. L °C/ °F » (if lower) or « HH.H °C/ °F » (if higher) displays.

Humidity

  •  Range: 20% ~ 95%
  •  If the temperature is out of range, the humidity will display LL%( lower) or HH %( higher).
  •  Acuracy :±5%

Comfortable Level Indication

Weather forecast at 4 levels {See table below}
The weather icon displays are based on the hourly calculation of temperature &humidity. The forecast station predict weather conditions for the next 12 hours with 70-75% accuracy.
