Product Information

The HORLOGE SUN & BRIGHT is a clock that can automatically adjust its time through the reception of RCC signal. It is made of ABS and PS plastic materials and operates using a 1 AA- 400mAh battery. The clock also has a solar panel for recharging the battery. It is important to limit battery consumption and follow proper disposal guidelines to avoid environmental damage.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Before using the clock, carefully read and keep the user manual for future reference.
2. Setting the Time: To automatically set the time, turn on the clock and wait for it to receive the RCC signal. The clock will adjust its time accordingly.
3. Battery Usage and Disposal: To avoid battery damage and explosion, use only new batteries and avoid short-circuiting the battery terminals. Do not dispose of batteries in the fire as they may explode. Dispose of batteries in a battery container or return them to the dealer for proper disposal. Preferably use alkaline batteries and replace all batteries at the same time.
4. Safety Precautions: The clock should be kept away from heat sources such as radiators to avoid plastic deformation. Do not use abrasive cleaning products to clean the clock. If the clock does not work properly, check and recharge the battery.
5. Maintenance: Only clean the product using a dry or slightly damp non-linting cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning products to clean the clock.

Warning: Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the instrument and keep it for future use.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use. Only use this device as describe in this instruction manual.
2. Do not use outdoors.
3. Keep it away from heat sources such as radiators, to avoid deformation of plastic parts.
4. Do not use coarse or abrasive sponges/cloths or steel wool to clean the appliance.
5. This unit is not designed to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote control system.
6. Please take out battery if not using for a long time.
7. Do not use normal battery

9. Please check and charge battery if clock is not working well

HOUR SETTING

Open the battery compartment and take out the insulator

1. Automatic mode: As soon as you insert the batteries, automatic reception will be activated and search the RCC signal. Time will be set automatically.
2. DCF signal This clock is designed to set itself automatically on reception of the radio signal coming from close to Frankfort in Germany. It allows all European country within approx. 1500 kms radius around Frankfort to benefit from this radio signal. Summer and winter time settings will be also automatic. All is set by this radio signal which is received by the clock several times a day.
3. DCF signal reception The unit starts searching for the DCF signal automatically after been start up. This operation can take several minutes to several hours. Please do not hesitate to change of room for the first reception. The unit automatically adjusts depending on the signal every day at 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 4 and 5 o’clock, 14 o’clock, 15 o’clock, 16 o’clock, 17 o’clock.
4. Hand setting (if RCC signal is out of reach) If RCC signal is out of reach it is necessary to set the time manually. Push the « SET » button (button n°3) during 5 seconds and keep pushing until the time is correct. Once you reach the time you want, release the «SET » button. Without any action during 8 seconds, the clock will exit the hand setting mode.
5. Back to automatic mode Push the « REC » button (button n°2) to come back to automatic mode. Automatic reception will be activated and clock will search RCC signal. Time will be set automatically.
6. Reset To reset clock, push with a small spike on « RESET » button (button n°1).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the product only with a dry or slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the unit.

Precision and precautions about the battery use

Throwing away a used battery in the environment or with household waste pollutes and avoids the recuperation of reusable materials.

• It is important to limit the battery consumption and to respect the following rules
  • Favor alkaline battery (last longer than saline battery) and when it’s possible use rechargeable battery.
  • Leave used batteries and accumulators in adapted containers that you can find in some retailers. In that way, metals don’t pollute the environment and the health.
• Battery has to be inserted by respecting the polarity show on the apparel and the battery. An incorrect positioning can damage the apparel, cause leaking and even provoke fire and the explosion of the battery.
• To assure a good functioning, battery has to be in a good condition. If there is a problem, put new battery.
• Never try to recharge battery not made for this. It could leak, warm up, cause fire or explode.
• Replace all the battery at the same time. Never mix up alkaline battery with saline battery.
• Used battery has to be removed.
• Also, remove the battery if you’re not using the apparel for a long time.
• Never try to short-circuit the terminal of a battery.
• Never throw away the battery in fire because they can explode.
• Take out the accumulator from the apparel before reload it.
• We recommend that an adult watch if a child change the battery to respect those rules.
• If you swallow a battery, go immediately to your doctor or the hospital.
• For the best ongoing performance, we recommend using only fresh, high-quality, alkaline batteries.
