Important Information

Please read and follow complete instructions, including safety warnings and cautions before using the kit on your nails.

• The product is intended for professional use only.
• This product must be used in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Failure to adhere to the instructions may lead to bodily injury or potential damage to the product.
• Do not attempt to modify or change the product from their original design to prevent injury or damage to the product.

NOTE:  Allure will not assume responsibility or liability for any injury caused by incorrect application or improper use.

• If there are any defective or missing parts in the package, kindly contact Allure for a replacement.
• Do not expose Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 14 and Part 15 to direct sunlight or other heat sources. Keep away from places with high temperatures.
• Always push your cuticles down with Part 10 to prevent the gel polish from lifting off the nail.
• Always cleanse and prep your nails with alcohol pads to ensure a long lasting gel polish.
• The base gel NEVER completely dries. It needs to stay sticky in order for the gel polish to adhere.
• Make sure to turn off the Allure Nail Lamp Dryer between coating processes and when not in use.

Microneedling Pre-Treatment Instructions

Following the right pre-treatment instructions ensures that your treatment will go smoothly and helps minimize side effects:

• Avoid Accutane in the six months prior to beginning your treatment sessions.
• Do not use topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics or acids 5-7 days prior to your treatment.
• Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days prior to your micro needling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for your skin rejuvenation.
• Avoid IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
• No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5-7 days prior.
• Do not shave the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. If there’s dense hair present in the treatment area, shave the day before you arrive for your appointment.
• If you’re prone to cold sores, take an antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and the day of the treatment.
• Avoid blood-thinning agents for one week prior because bruising is a common side effect of micro needling.

Day of Treatment

Knowing what to expect on the day of your at-home micro needling treatment will make this procedure as comfortable as possible for you:

• Your skin will be cleaned so it’s free of lotion, oil, makeup, powder, or sunscreen.
• You avoid Microneedling any tattoos in areas of treatment.
• 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment, topical lidocaine can be applied to your face.
• This microneedling treatment is an at-home procedure that typically takes up to 60 minutes to complete.

Post-Treatment Instructions

Knowing what to expect on the day of your at home microneedling treatment will make this procedure as comfortable as possible for you:

• Your skin will be cleaned so it’s free of lotion, oil, makeup, powder, or sunscreen.
• You avoid Microneedling any tattoos in areas of treatment.
• 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment, topical lidocaine can be applied to your face.
• This microneedling treatment is an at-home procedure that typically takes up to 60 minutes to complete.

Complete Step By Step Guide

STEP 1

• Start off by washing your face with a neutral cleanser. After thoroughly washing pat your face with a clean towel until dry.

STEP 2

• Grab your numbing cream sachet and apply the contents to areas of treatment. Leave for 20 min or longer until you have reached your ultimate relief. Numbing is not necessary when using Nano Square and Nano Round cartridges.

Note: Skip onto step 4 if you are not in need of pain relief.

STEP 3

• Remove your numbing cream with hot water. After thoroughly washing pat your face with a clean towel until dry.

STEP 4

• Now take 1 ampoules of Hyaluronic Acid serum. Carefully break open the ampoules and use 1ml of hyaluronic acid to apply to areas of treatment. If needed, add more contents of Hyaluronic Acid to your areas of treatment.

STEP 5

• Grab the Stylys X8 box and define which treatment you’d like to start with.
• At the back of the box you can find clarifications about the improving effects of each cartridge.

STEP 6

• Select your cartridge of choice and open up the sealed package. Place your cartridge in the Stylus X8 device by turning it clockwise until locked.

STEP 7

• Turn on your device by long pressing the power button. Start your treatment with the right needle depth (see depth map) and use strength based on your personal preference (for more instructions see X8 Manual).

STEP 8

• Start your Microneedling treatment on areas of treatment. Move your pen diagonally up and down until you have covered all areas. Begin with a 0.5mm needle depth on your cheecks, cheeck bone, neck and chin as these all need the same needle depth. Continue treatment around and under your eyes, forehead, nose and lips with adjusted needle length to 0.25mm.

STEP 9

• When in treatment for acne scars, stretch marks, large pores, melasma and wrinkles continue treatment with gently stamping your 12 Pin Cartridge or 36 Pin Cartridge into your skin. We highly recommend watching the expert tutorial more than once before doing this step.

STEP 10

• When you’re finished with your Microneedling treatment turn off your device. Rinse your face with water and pat until dry. Grab your calming Hyaluronic Sheet mask and leave on for 15 minutes (for more instructions see Sheet Mask).

STEP 11

• Finish your full treatment by washing your face with water. After thoroughly washing pat your face with a clean towel until dry.
• After treatment: Do not use ice on your face. Avoid suntanning for at least 2 weeks. Use a painkiller, such as Tylenol, if you experience any soreness.

The Healing Process

What to Expect After a Microneedling Treatment

Microneedling is a quick and non-invasive cosmetic procedure with mini-mal side effects. However, it’s quite normal to experience the following:

Day 1-3

• A sunburn-like effect is normal. Your skin may feel tight, dry or sensitive to touch. Treat the skin gently by washing it with a gentle cleanser, cool water, and using only your hands to pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment.
• Some redness may also be present and in some cases, patients may experience slight bruising that can last for 5-7 days and temporary swelling for 2-4 days.

Tips

• Avoid strenuous exercises that cause sweating as well as jacuzzis, saunas, and steam baths for up to 48 hours.
• Use only mineral makeup after 24 hours.
• Sleep on your back with the head of the bed elevated to minimize swelling or pain as needed.

Day 2-7

• Peeling may start 3-5 days after the treatment.  You’ll notice skin drynessand flaking which is due to an increased turnover of skin cells.
• DO NOT pick, scratch, or scrub at treated skin.

Important information: You must allow the old skin to flake off naturally and keep it moisturized at all times. Talk to an Allure skin specialist about which products to use.

Day 5-7

• You may start your regular skin care products again, once your skin no longer feels irritated. Most users have noticed continued skin improvement over the months following their last treatment.
• For best results: We recommend follow-up and repeat microneedling treatments every 4-6 weeks, with a series of 3-5 treatments depending on your personalized care plan(see Stylus X8 box).
