Troubleshooting Problems

The unit has stopped and the LCD backlight is flashing.| An obstruction has occurred, blocking the movement of the mamaRoo. Clear the obstruction and press play to resume.
The unit doesn’t turn on.| Check that the unit is connected to a power source.
I cannot hear the built-in sounds.| Refer to page 17 to verify that sound is not muted. The mamaRoo is designed to turn off after 4 hours of uninterrupted use. If you would like to continue using your mama Roo, press the power button.
I can’t hear music from the attached MP3 device.| Adjust the volume on both the mama root and the MP3 device.
I can’t remove the front-end cap from the mamaRoo® during disassembly.| Refer to image #5 in the Disassembly section of this manual.
The packaging foam blocks do not fit when the base is repackaged.| The base must be homed. Refer to image #9 in the Disassembly section of this manual.

Care

For your child’s continued safety, periodically inspect the product to make sure that all connections (screws, snap buttons, zippers) are securely fastened, that they do not show signs of wear or abuse and that they are not damaged or broken.

Cleaning your mamaRoo®

• The fabric seat and fabric toys are machine washable. Wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry separately on low heat and remove promptly.
• After washing, zip the seat fabric back onto the seat ring so that the hole for the toy bar is at the top of the seat. Snap the seat fabric into place at both ends. Do not install the seat fabric upside down.
• The base, metal, and plastic seat parts, and toy bar can be wiped clean using a mild cleaning solution and a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base, seat parts, or toy bar.
• Disconnect the mamaRoo ® from the power supply before cleaning the base.

• Read all instructions before assembly and use of the device. Adult assembly required. Do not use this device if it is damaged or broken. Keep small parts away from children.
• In the event of damage or problems, discontinue use and contact 4moms ® Customer Care.

FALL and STRANGULATION HAZARDS: Infants have suffered head injuries falling from swings and have been strangled by straps.

• ALWAYS use the restraint system. Adjust to fit snugly.
• STOP using the product when the infant attempts to climb out.

WARNING

• NEVER lift or carry while baby is in this product.
• The toy bar does not have a carry handle. Never use a toy bar to lift or carry a seat.
• ALWAYS place this product on the floor. Never use on any elevated surface. SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Infants have suffocated when seats are tipped over on soft surfaces.
• NEVER use it on a bed, sofa, cushion, or another soft surface.
• Stay near and watch the child during use. This product is not safe for unsupervised use or unattended sleep.
• Never add a pillow, comforter, or padding. Use only the seat provided by 4moms®. The 4moms® newborn insert may be used with the mamaRoo®.

WARNING

• If your child cannot sit in a reclined or upright position or has special needs, check with your doctor about when to start using this product.
• Never use the mamaRoo® as a car seat.
• Do not use the mamaRoo® if any components are broken or missing.
• Do not use accessories or replacement parts other than those approved by 4moms®.
• Do not use products near water. Do not use the mamaRoo® base or power supply if either has been exposed to liquid.
• Do not place the product in any location where there are cords, such as window blind cords, drapes, phone cords, etc.
• Strings can cause strangulation. Do not place items with a string around your child’s neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords while using the product.

WARNING

• Do not suspend strings over the product or attach strings to toys.
• Do not hang toys from the toy bar other than those provided by 4moms® for use with this product.
• Cords can cause strangulation. Keep MP3 and power cords away from children.
• Do not use products without the fabric seat cover.
• Only use the power cord provided.
• For indoor use only.
