Operating instructions
VoltDetector 12-1000 V
This contactless voltage tester is used to test alternating electric fields.
It can detect voltages in insulated cables, e.g. spot cable breaks.
Safety instructions
- AC > 50 V
- DC > 120 V
Above these voltage limits: life-threatening electric shock if touched.
- The warranty is voided in the event of injury or damage to property caused due to non-compliance with these operating instructions. The manufacturer accepts no liability for consequential damage.
- Operational safety is no longer guaranteed if the voltage tester has been modified in any way. Do not disassemble. Do not disassemble.
- Test the device on a known voltage source before and after you use it.
Proper use
- Voltage: 12 – 1000 V AC
- Frequency: 40- 500 Hz
- Only trained technical staff may use the voltage tester.
- The voltage tester must not be used to verify that there is no live current.
- You may only use a two-pole voltage tester as per EN61243-3 to verify that there is no live current.
- You must pass on the operating instructions as well if you give voltage tester to a third party.
