OVERVIEW
OPERATION
The ADJ Eco UV Bar Plus IR contains an electronic ballast, which will auto sense the voltage when it is plugged into the power source. With the electronic voltage switch, you do not need to worry about wall voltage as this unit can be plugged in anywhere. This fixture is designed to operate as a stand alone unit with no extra assembly necessary. The Eco UV Bar Plus IR is ready to be plugged in out of the box. Plug the unit in to a matching power outlet or into a power pack, and “flip” the power switch to the On position. Use the included UC IR to control the unit.
NOTE: A maximum of 10 fixtures can be connected in a daisy chain. Do not mix fixtures as the results are unpredictable and could be catastrophic.
INFRARED REMOTE
The UC IR infrared remote (Included) gives you control of various functions
(See below). To control the fixture you must aim the remote at the front of
the fixture and be no more than 30 feet away.
The Airstream IR (sold separately) remote transmitter plugs into the headphone
jack of your iOS phone or tablet. To control your IR fixture you must raise
the volume to the maximum on your iOS phone or tab- let and aim the
transmitter at the fixture sensor and be no more than 15 feet away. After you
have purchased the Airstream IR transmitters, the app is a free download from
the app store for your iOS phone or tablet. The app comes with 3 pages of

WIRELESS SETUP
There are many factors that can affect and/or interrupt a wireless signal,
including walls, glass, metal, objects, and people. Therefore, the following
guidelines are recommended in order to maxi-mize the chances of having a clear
path for the wireless signal to reach the device:
- Install the device a minimum of 9.8 ft (3m) above audiences and/or ground level.
- Arrange the wireless antenna in an upright, vertical position.
- Position devices in direct line of sight of the transmitting controller.
Careful planning and testing of the selected installation location is critical to ensure optimum and reli-able wireless operation.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Listed below are a few common problems the user may encounter, with solutions.
Unit not powered on:
Check that the fixture is plugged in.
Unit not responding to DMX:
Check that the DMX cables are connected properly and are wired correctly (pin
3 is “hot”; on some other DMX devices pin 2 may be ‘hot’). Also, check that
all cables are connected to the right connectors; it does matter which way the
inputs and outputs are connected.
CLEANING
Frequent cleaning is recommended to ensure proper function, optimized light output, and an extended life. The frequency of cleaning depends on the environment in which the fixture operates: damp, smoky, or particularly dirty environments can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the fixture’s optics. Clean the external lens surface periodically with a soft cloth to avoid dirt/debris accumulation. NEVER use alcohol, solvents, or ammonia-based cleaners.
MAINTENANCE
Regular inspections are recommended to ensure proper function and extended life. There are no user serviceable parts inside this fixture, please refer all other service issues to an authorized ADJ service technician. Should you need any spare parts, please order genuine parts from your local ADJ dealer. Please refer to the following points during routine inspections:
- A detailed electrical check by an approved electrical engineer every three months, to make sure the circuit contacts are in good condition in order to prevent overheating.
- Be sure all screws and fasteners are securely tightened at all times. Loose screws may fall out during normal operation, resulting in damage or injury as larger parts could fall.
- Check for any deformations on the housing, color lenses, rigging hardware, and rigging points (ceiling, suspension, trussing). Deformations in the housing could allow for dust or liquids to enter into the fixture. Damaged rigging points or unsecured rigging could cause fixture to fall and seriously injure a person(s).
- Electric power supply cables must not show any damage, material fatigue, or sediments.
- NEVER remove the ground prong from the power cable.
