CASCADE 2622022 Personal Water Filtration Straw

PARTS OF FILTRATION STRAW

  • Mouthpiece Cap
  • Mouthpiece
  • 3-Stage Filtration Process
    1. Sediment Filter
    2. Hollow Fiber Membrane
    3. Activated Carbon
  • Intake Nozzle/Bottle Attachment

USE

  1. Prime filter by placing the straw in water so that the intake nozzle is fully immersed. Let sit for 20 seconds.
  2. Open the mouthpiece cap, taking care not to touch the mouthpiece.
  3. While intake nozzle is fully immersed, place mouth on mouthpiece and suck to draw water through filter.

To attach to most standard water bottles, screw mouth of bottle into the Intake Nozzle/Bottle Attachment.

NOTE: Drinking through a filtration straw may require more suction than drinking through a traditional drinking straw. If you are unable to draw water through the straw, the filter may be clogged by air bubbles or previously filtered particles.
The 3-stage filtration process will become clogged during normal use especially if the Personal Water Filtration Straw is used to filter muddy or silty water. FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Use the cleanest, clearest water available.
  • Filtering silty, cloudy, muddy, or glacial stream water or tea-colored water that contains visible tannins can clog the filter faster.
  • Blow air through the mouthpiece (in opposite direction of normal water flow) to remove potential air bubbles.
  • Before taking your Personal Water Filtration Straw camping, backpacking, or on a trip, test it in a safe environment to make sure your Personal Water Filtration Straw is working properly.

The Personal Water Filtration Straw is designed to filter up to 1,000 gallons. Actual gallons filtered before needing replacement may be less.
Inability to draw water through the Filtration Straw may indicate that the product has reached the end of its lifecycle.
